This was a 5:30 pm dinner for two on a Saturday. It was our first time visiting Basil Leaf. It was moderately busy and service was friendly and prompt. My friend and I both had the Tom Yum Goong soup. It was okay but could have been more lemon grass flavor. The two shrimp in the soup were fresh and tasty.

Nice to discover this restaurant here in Mechanicsburg. Ordered the angel wings ( chicken wings) , and the green papaya salad topped with chicken. Both of these dishes were fresh and flavorful. Excellent , friendly service and nice vibrant proportions. Clean , comfortable dining. Highly recommend. I will be back to try many more dishes. Thank you! The Padthai, and Drunken noodles were excellent as well. Another great lunch was enjoyed. We had the Tom yum soup and the pineapple fried rice. Excellent!

Employees are the kindest people I’ve ever met in general, but the food.. the food is definitely the best Thai food I’ve personally had, ever. Everything was perfectly seasoned, if you like a kick, definitely try the Curry in any flavor. Decided to take some pictures to do it justice, hopefully I did just that. If you’re doubting and reading these reviews, GO! We will definitely be back! (I’d be back just for the Angel wings and fried donuts to be honest, but the fact that the main courses are 10/10 definitely seals the deal.)

Nice courteous staff. Used to be the best Thai around. Best Pad Thai I ever had. Several months ago the recipe changed for the worse. The Pad Thai used to be so much better, lighter citrus sauce, bigger noodles, and tender pork. Now it’s some dry flavorless red sauce, dry noodles, and tough overcooked pork. The takeout package is also now stuffed with beans sprouts instead of the actual dish. We thought it was simply a new chef or a one-off, but no, it seems permanent. $30 for two dinners, not including tip or apps, used to be worth it. But now with the recipe changes, $30 for two dinners, is not worth what I would expect to get at the mall.
