Review Time With Tim
This is not a bad place to eat. The plaza that the restaurant is located in could use a massive refreshing as it does look a little rough around the edges. The lady who took our food order was polite and very friendly. I have dined here several times trying different things on the menu and one of my favorite things is the calzone. I do enjoy the hot Pastrami sub as well. They serve up a pizza which is extremely tasty. All around positive experience.

Passing through town 7pm on a Sunday, not much open. Dropped in for a slice ended up with a FANTASTIC pizza! The Mediterranean has fresh basil, fresh spinach, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and BACON. Great flavor combination over a red sauce. Also offers carrot cake, lava cake and a cooler of ice cream half pints. Can’t wait to come back

It doesn’t look like much from the outside (or inside to be fair) but this is the best pizza I’ve had in the state of Vermont. I grew up near NYC and have high standards for NY style pizza and this is 100% the place to go.

Last week they didn’t even answer their phones for an order and tonight I ordered one large pizza. They told me 35 minutes so I showed up promptly 35 minutes later, and then I waited another 15 minutes for my pizza. Ridiculous. No greeting either.

My food has been made incorrectly the last 4 times in a row, and it’s a sub with 3 things on it….. The food is decent enough once it’s corrected. Some of the wait staff is great, others not so much.

Tyler Murray made the best calzone I’ve ever had. He put his heart, soul, and time into this perfectly crusted Buffalo calzone WITH ranch. Gordon Ramsey could not even begin to understand what Tyler Murray has going on in the kitchen at Basils. No one can.

We stopped in after driving to the Berlin mall wanting to try somewhere different but that was enough for us. The food was so so and the place was empty. They did have a lot of take out customers though. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly so that was a plus. It’s a one and done for us unfortunately.
