Of all the great Indian places in/around Sarasota, Bay Leaf has the best chicken tikka masala. Other places are tasty, but more (almost too) butter-y, whereas Bay Leaf’s flavor is great without feeling like you’re eating a stick of butter. Great service, great food. I would like to see their onion bhaji be a little-less breaded, but it is delicious nonetheless

I recently visited Bayleaf restaurant after seeing their reviews and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the restaurant has a nice ambiance and a comfortable setting. The service was also prompt and courteous. However, the food was a bit underwhelming. While the presentation was good, the flavors were not as flavorful as I was expecting, and the portion sizes were small for the price. I tried Chilly baby corn, Malai kofta and veg biryani and not satisfied with any food except the starter. Overall, Bayleaf restaurant is an okay place to dine, but it may not be the best choice for a memorable dining experience.

Amazing!! Thank you for being so accommodating to our vegan ways! Flavors are amazing, service is quality, restaurant is CLEAN!!! Huge props! Also love the mini kitchen big hands show they play on the tv in the Dining room, it’s so unique and very entertaining. My crew got some really awesome laughs out of it! Highly recommend Bay Leaf!!

Impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. Very pleasant atmosphere as well. The Tandoor Chicken Tikka and the Madras Masala were excellent. Happy to see they have online ordering for easy takeout as well. Great to have a new great Indian option. Will be back!

This is our first visit to bay leaf and it was a nice experience to us. The service was excellent. We had a great time eating delicious food especially butter chicken and parotta, very tasty. Atmosphere was awesome and It looks very neat and clean. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who are looking for a delicious food with affordable price in florida. Thankyou bay leaf team .

This restaurant just opened its doors not even three weeks ago. Wow! They have excellent food, great service, and it’s super clean. We also didn’t need a reservation for a group of four on a Thursday evening in season. A huge win! The decor inside is chic. Plenty of seating. Ample parking. I’m vegan and there are numerous vegan and vegetarian options, which made me very happy! My husband and our friends are not vegetarian and they had plenty of options to chose from. Everyone loved their meals. We ordered the samosas and masala papad to start. And I had the veggie coconut cream masala. My husband had the madras masala with paneer. If you love Indian food, I highly recommend checking out this new local restaurant. We will definitely be back. Super excited to have an amazing Indian restaurant in Osprey! I hope they flourish!

My son and I just had an amazing dinner at Bay Leaf. He had the Lamb Nihari I had a black pepper curry and we had a the Manchurian cauliflower appetizer. All were beautifully prepared and very tasty. We have eaten a at several Indian restaurants in the area we are eager to return.
