We drove about 1.5 hours to the Bayren Stube, but it was worth it. The food is fantastic and our waitress Sandi was great. There were 6 of us and we all tried something different and there were a lot of yummy sounds all around the table. I didn’t think about taking pictures of the food until we were already eating. Well worth the trip.

The food was absolutely delicious!!! I had leg of rabbit, wild boar and elk sausage on red cabbage with a dark German beer from the tap. The decor was amazing. Too bad I live 300 miles away…

We had reservations for 6pm and were glad we did because the restaurant started getting quite busy by 6:30. Our server was very friendly and attentive and recommended the pretzel (with beer cheese and herb butter to start) to start. It was huge, came out still steaming, and had a great soft and fluffy texture. We also ordered a side of the cheese spaetzle – also very nice with crunchy onion pieces and a creamy cheese sauce.

Eating here is an annual treat for their Hunters Feast menu. It’s so good it’s worth the 45 min drive. I usually get the sausage sampler. The pretzel is my favorite appetizer and the apple studel is my favorite dessert.
