This NOLA Girl is always looking for a taste of home here in metro ATL. A small group came for lunch. We had several appetizers – N.O. shrimp, boudin balls, wings. Entrees included a spicy chicken sandwich, brisket, shrimp & grits and shrimp & tasso pasta. We agreed that it was all good but not great. I may be wrong, but it seemed to me that the sauce used in the shrimp appetizer, the shrimp & and grits, and the shrimp pasta were all the same sauce. I left a bit disappointed, unfortunately.

We found a hidden gem in Roswell Georgia. Bayou’Q on Canton street. I’m from New Orleans Louisiana and we always on the hunt for a great New Orleans style meal and boy did we find it. From the minute we walked in the door it felt like I was back in New Orleans. Southern hospitality at its finest. If I had to categorize this restaurant it was like Cajun fusion because they also serve some of the juiciest pulled pork I’ve had in my life. The menu was full of back home delicacies as well. We got to meet the owner Marcus and most of his team and they did not disappoint. Everything was plated perfectly and their craft cocktails were unbelievable. Marcus and his team made every patron feel at special and at home. We definitely be returning to this restaurant. So if you haven’t tried Bayou’Q on Canton Street what are you waiting for??????????

My husband spotted this restaurant as we were driving by and we decided we would try it out for dinner. I’m so glad we did! The food was wonderful. We loved the vibe and live music. We got the Crab dip, reuben with Mac n Cheese, Shrimp and grit cakes and shrimp gumbo. I believe the drink was pineapple paradise. All delicious! It’s definitely on our Atlanta list.

The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Jambalaya with shrimp. My friend had the Crawfish Po Boy and Gumbo. I’m greedy so I ate of his plate too..lol. It was so delicious. Our waitress was very nice and the drinks were sooo good! Also, the owner of the establishment was very friendly and took time out to have a conversation with us. I highly suggest you give them a try. I will definitely back!

We sat outside on a nice summer evening. There was good people watching. The Nawlins Shrimp had a delish sauce that was great for dipping. I loved the Bayou Bang Shrimp and enjoyed the Jambalaya. My wife wasn’t crazy about the salmon.
