For the price and the flavor this was not good BBQ. The sandwich came with no sauce and the burnt ends didn’t taste like BBQ at all. They tasted like the meat was cooked in the oven. No smokey flavor at all. A small pretzel bun with 12 cubes of meat $8.99. The meat without sauce was too dry and I’ve never eaten BBQ that didn’t taste like BBQ unless you added sauce. If sauce was available the person who picked up our lunch for the office wasn’t reminded of it by the staff. So all three lunches were dry tasteless meat. I hope they don’t charge people more to have sauce. Had to pay for a side separate @ $2.49. The Corn Pudding was tasty.

I have travelled hundreds of mile to try different BBQ places in the Midwest. But right here in St. Louis you can find some great BBQ. The ribs are tender and flavorful, But the key compared to many BBQ places, the ribs are consistent. I am well over 20 slabs now, and from the first slab to the last, CONSISTENT. Burnt ends are great as well. And you have to try the corn pudding,

Don’t believe the glowing reviews. Pulled chicken (more like chicken pieces) was somehow greasy yet retained a dry jerky texture. Burnt ends was mostly fat and tasted like roast beef. Very over priced for the serving size as well. That would have been OK if the quality of food matched the price.

We went to BBQ ASAP tonight for the first time. The food was disappointing. Ribs were barely warm. The burnt ends were soggy. They were out of the entree my son ordered on the kids meal and they didn’t have the first two side items he wanted. Not worth the price of the food.

It wasn’t the worst. But everything was unclean. The floor, counter, tables. Thats just what I could see aint no telling what they got going on in the back. The smoker out front in the parking lot was filthy. Probley never been cleaned. And looks kinda trashy. Not what I would expect out of a” award winning” bbq joint. I dont recall seeing a 1st place anything. Good enough for 3rd or 4th place. Probly will never go back.
