Where to start. Only guy in the place. Female employee asks “what do u want?” As I’m walking through the door. Me: “Not sure, literally just crossed the threshold”. Sandwich was fine. Beer was cold. Employees constantly complained about co-workers, etc.., with plenty of colorful language. I was literally the only customer there x 1 hr. Is it really so hard? I was shoveling cow manure at a dairy farm at the age of 14 yo. And I’m not that old, so no “get off my lawn” comments. Be kind, attentive and provide decent service and ambiance…it’s honestly not that hard. Been coming here sporadically for 8 years and can’t recommend.

Changing my review. Walked in at 4:59pm and got told they just closed at 5pm. Not in a pleasant tone either. Every other sandwich shop stays open later than 5pm. Could have handled them wanting to go home but it was the tone and attitude coming from the guy behind the counter. Definitely WON’T BE COMING BACK!

I’ve always enjoyed BHD and thought I would try the nachos. The toppings and cheese looked great but when I tried the chips they tasted like the course ground corn chips that come in a big party size bag. For $14 nachos please change the type of chips you use. I really wanted to like the nachos but the chips were horrible and was sad when I threw them out after 3 bites.

I really like BHD. Pretty consistent with quality and taste across locations. Staff is always friendly and I’m never feel rushed when I can’t make a decision. Sometimes I leave the decision to the staff and they’ve not been wrong yet. We ordered 3 sandwiches for takeout. All the sandwiches were good, but this time, the pastrami seemed to need salt, like at every bite. Still, it’s a great place for lunch and I’ll be back.

You really can’t go wrong with Beach Hut Deli sandwiches. The staff is always friendly, and they take their time making sure your order is perfect the way you like it. They let me customize my meat selection which was great. I recommend ordering online or on the phone before you there, as the busy times are sometimes packed.

12/22/2021 I called in a phone order at 12:15pm and was told it would be 15-20 minutes for my order to be ready. Since part of my order was nachos and didn’t want it to be soggy, I arrived at 12:25. Once I arrived, I waiting in line to pay for about 15 minutes. Once it was my turn, I found out the person who took my phone order wrote I was an online order instead (not a big deal to me, but apparently for the staff it is). I was told it would be a few more minutes. Approximately 30-40 went by before my order was finally ready. At first, I was irritated as I called in my order early because I didn’t want to wait for it. But I took the time to look around, people watch, staff watch…. Etc. Doing so made me notice some very important details, hence the reason for providing a 5-star review, whom most people in the same situation realistically wouldn’t do. Yes the food is amazing as always, HOWEVER, the reason for my 5-star review is solely for the lady on the sandwich line. (She was friendly, professional, stressed but held it together, and had blonde hair). Even though there was someone else with her, she was running the whole restaurant by herself. She was making all the orders including door dash, online, phone and walk ins DURING lunch rush. She was also having to keep her associate on track and even had to explain the importance of ringing up a order correctly. She did all of this with such grace and class. Due to her amazing work ethic…. Even though I wanted to be annoyed with the situation, I wasn’t able too. If we had more workers like her in the world, everything would run that much smoother! So THANK YOU to the blonde hair worker for reminding me to slow down and open my eyes even if I am in a hurry or want to be irritated for an inconvenience. Keep up the amazing work!!!
