Local spot off the north shore of the lake, way less traffic than downtown Garden City. Awesome staff and great food! Picnic tables in the shade. A local favorite you have to try!

Hubby surprised me with dinner. Good cheeseburger overall, but sauteed onions need to be sauteed longer. Were still crunchy like raw onions. Great shake and fries. Fry sauce was good. Was bummed there weren’t any jalapenos.

When out exploring and having adventures about please don’t miss the Bear Cave!! Delicious hamburgers, fries, and shakes! They are made to order, but we didn’t wait long! The bun on the hamburger is unique and especially tasty! Their fry sauce is extra tasty! I could not discern what the secret flavor is but, YUM when your headed to the North Beach at Bear Lake it is on the corner as your making a right to head east to the beach!

I love this place. Been going there for years. I love the bacon cheese burger. The fries and dipping sauce are phenomenal. We go to bear lake every year for a family reunion. And Friday for lunch we head to the north beach turn off to do a little shopping and have a burger..they even accommodated my wife’s intolerance of gluten. They have a lettuce wrap. Sat on the picnic tables under the trees and had a nice relaxing meal.

We’ve been going to the Bear Cave for nearly 20 years. This year, they changed everything and not for the better. Service was atrocious and they knowingly lied to me. We ordered a cheeseburger without pickles. They put pickles on it and, when I asked for one without pickles, they simply took the pickles off and handed the burger back. I politely told them this was unacceptable as my wife cannot stand the taste of pickles. They assured me they would fix it, then, returned the same burger with extra ketchup on it to hide the marks where the pickles were. Unreal.

So food here is good but the bathrooms where gross no soap in them. We had family members who saw them spill a shake on there counter and they picked it up with there hand and put it back on top of the cup so that’s gross. They could definitely clean that stuff up. And more tables outside side would be good.

First, it is too expensive. Lunch for my wife and I (2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 milkshakes) was $49.

The Bear Cave appears to be family run . We had the Bacon Burgers with fries. They were out of onion rings. The burgers were average with raw onion, lettuce and tomato. The fries are battered, good and served with fry sauce . We also got a kids meal but it wasn’t fully cooked.

We had our family reunion this past weekend up around Bear Lake. We stopped by and tried Bear Cave after going to the Minnetonka ice caves. We liked it so much we went again the next day after going to the lake!

We stopped by at about 5:00 on a Monday night and there wasn’t a line. Our family of 6 ordered 5 pizza burgers, 1 chicken strip & fries, 2 cheesy tots, 1 normal tot, 1 fry, 1 onion ring, 2 banana cream pie shakes, 1 Tropical Charlie shake, 1 Butterfinger shake, 1 Cookie dough shake, and 1 Carmel cashew. Whew!
