We ordered lemon chicken. Some of the pieces were hard and as if it was microwaved. Rice was plain, and chicken had a smell to it. This place use to be really good.

A classic saying of “never judge a book by its cover” certainly describes my first impression here . The restaurant was completely empty when I walked in , as I ordered my food to go I noticed the blue plate award which is very coveted in San Antonio . I will simply say this Beifang did not disappoint I ordered Shrimp and lobster sauce with Shrimp toast appetizer. The main course was fabulous fresh everything without over cooked vegetables. The shrimp toast was just as I’d hoped but the bonus was I got an egg roll and crab Rangoon with my meal . I went at supper so everything was a bit more $14.95 for the main course and $9.95 for the appetizer but I’d rather pay that to a local family business then a chain . Did I mention the egg roll had a flavor of my youth ? YUM!

I have loved Beifang since it was located on Fredericksburg Rd. Over 20 years of going there ends. I ordered lemon chicken. The chicken was extremely tough. I also ordered crab Rangoon which had a tiny amount of filling. The chicken fried rice used to be the best, it’s horrible. The rice is dark and definitely doesn’t taste how it used to.

Good for a quick lunch if you are in the area. Don’t use the restroom though. It’s very scary. The women’s has two toilets right next to each other with not partition in between. And the color it’s painted makes it look like it’s out of a horror movie. I guess it would be ok if you were in a different country?! But I really don’t want to use restroom and be able to hold the hand of the person right next to me.. pretty gross.

I picked up some vegetable egg foo young got home unpacked the bag checked my food didn’t look good had a bite and food had no flavor at all that I looked at the gravy it was like Jello would melt and no flavor at at aodt 17.00 and to not say anything thanks not going to happen,I called three times yesterday and they wouldn’t answer the manager is saying I didn’t call which I did and he was very rude , please check your food before you leave !!!

Hadn’t visited beifang in quite some time. It’s good to know it’s still the same place! One thing to remember is there aren’t free refills. Ordered the “family meal A” which comes with soup, wontons, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, 2 entrees and pork fried rice. It was more than enough food! I am a little disappointed in the beef and broccoli..lacked flavor. Try the lemon chicken, it never disappoints.

This is a great little place. Lots of food and great service for cheap. Would come here for some great Chinese comfort food any time. Had the hot and sour soup, which was way mild, some huge egg rolls and an order of beef lo mein. Had to take most of the lo mein with me holy cow… So much food.
