Wow. Missed how food was affordable like it was 10 years ago? Come here. It’s like a time machine. I got a huge 6″ sub and what most places would consider a “large” salad as their $10 lunch special. You can tell everything was freshly made then and there. That was lunch AND dinner, for yes, $10. If you are ever wondering what to eat on your trip to Belle Isle, just pick up food from this place. Simple.

Ordered 5 pizzas detroit style: cheese, bbq, spinach artichoke, lady in white, 7 villages. We also asked for a mix of garlic and parmesan crusts on the pizza, but I believe they forgot to do that as the crusts all looked and tasted the same to us. Order took 40 minutes and they came out hot and fresh. The crust is FANTASTIC. Chewy with perfectly crisp edges and bottom. The cheese pizza was very good, I just wish the sauce was a touch sweeter. The bbq was my least favorite; the bbq sauce flavor doesn’t really shine because it’s mixed with ricotta so that kind of “waters down” the flavor. The lady in white is ok, nothing to write home about honestly. The spinach artichoke was perfect, all you need to do is add pepper flakes or jalapenos if you can take spice. The 7 villages was also perfect. The mushrooms had a delicious roasted flavor and the arugula helped cut the richness of the pizza.

Ordered a cheese pizza, picked it up, got home, found they did not include the sauce. I called and they offered to remake it. Went and picked up the new pizza and when I got home found the new pizza was half raw dough when I bit into it. It had only been cooked halfway though. Safe to say I called and asked for a refund. The first person I spoke to said nothing back to me and handed the phone off so I had to re-explain the issue. I was offered a refund. Disappointed by this experience, I want local places like this to succeed.
