Finally! A lovely, upscale place to enjoy an evening out in the Midlothian area that isn’t a chain. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, the service is attentive without being smothering. Yes, the owners greet regulars as they would greet friends, but, if you want to meet them or the chef, all you have to do is ask your waiter/waitress. The food is wonderful, the sauces divine, and the desserts are decadent. The decor is elegant but not stuffy and the prices are great! Ask for a list of their fun martinis – the Stephanie is terrific. If you love good food and the good life then this is the place to be.

Belle Vie is one of those unexpected finds in Midlothian Virginia that make it such a great place to buy a home for sale. Xavier and Stephanie are the Real Deal, coming straight from Brussels, Belgium and anyone that has spent time in Europe knows that the Belgians are renown for their excellent cuisine. Belle Vie and its superb food are as close as you can get to travelling to Brussels and finding a restaurant near the Grand Place. If you are skeptical, then try it for yourself and ask to meet Xavier or Stephanie. They will be happy to meet you, but be prepared dust off your French.

Last night we had a wonderful dinner at Belle Vie Restaurant, the staff was gracious and attentive. My friend from Paris who joined us for dinner agreed the food is authentic and delicious. Merci to the owners and staff for bringing the tastes of France to Richmond.

First time visit exceeded our expectations. My wife had the lobster and I had the mussels provencal. Nice wine list, overall great experience. Highly recommended. Great French/Belgian fare.
