I wish I could give this place a better review. We visited on a Sunday morning. The sevice was painfully slow! We waited over an hour for breakfast items, which I feel is unacceptable when it wasn’t very busy. It seemed that locals got their orders taken and were served much faster than “visitors” to the area. The dining area was uncomfortably warm. The food tasted good, and the portions were average.

We stopped in Saturday morning. In the past we haven’t been real fond of this place. For lack of a better word the food was gross and portions were small. But we decided to stop and try again. This time the food was excellent. So good I asked the server what changed. She told me she was the new owner. So if you’ve not liked it in the past. Try it again it’s really good

Biscuits were from a bag, undercooked. French Toast was so tiny, a toddler would have still been hungry. No coffee refill. Or water refill! No check back. And they auto-grat for zero service!

Clean and fast. Mains don’t come with a side. I had breaded pork tenderloin sandwich and fried cauliflower. It was just what the day needed.( no beer served here) We split a huge piece of fresh banana cream pie for desert, it was fantastic!

Another person in my party said that it was “one of the best fried chicken they ever had in their life.” When we ordered it, the waitress told us it would take about 12 minutes so that’s how you know it’s fresh (and it definitely tasted fresh).

Excellent buffet with lovely salad bar and all the Sunday dinner goodies: friend chicken, baked steak, potatoes, gravy, noodles, stuffing, and more! Clean place, a bit out of the way, but a jewel of a find. Plus, they have homemade pies!!!

We ordered breakfast, asked what was all in the omelet. She never said tomatoes or mushrooms it had that on it. Ordered eggs and wasn’t cooked all the way. Couldn’t eat them.

Stopped in with folks we were buying a Jeep from, waiting for the bank to open. Others had just coffee but I had their #1 breakfast and it was great. The server kept our coffees full and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Would definitely stop in if we’re ever in Mt. Sterling again.
