9/18/2022…my experience was something I had never experienced before. Reservations@ 3:00pm arrived at 2:50 a party of (7) seated an hour and 45min later. There was one sever! The manager failed to represent good leadership. It was 7:30 when we walked out. This particular day was my birthday my guest started to get displeased with the overall experience so did I which put an HUGE damper on the entire occasion. Finally there was NO communication unless I asked questions. I over heard a worker telling the guest hostess “not to seat anymore people because there was only one server” mind you there were people streaming in. Apparently your policy stated that certificates are used on certain days excluding weekends which my birthday happened to fall on a Sunday. I called to leave a complaint no one has reached out to me as of yet. Memphis location

This location is one of my favorite spots…To order take out over 3xs and receive my chicken hibachi rice over cooked…Hard and discolored like the rice set there under the heat lamp for hours…Called the location to speak with an manager of course was on hold for an hour or more…Very patered Upset and wants my 29.81 work of fresh rice…I’m sorry

There is a thief working at the Fort Lauderdale location! As our party of 5 was leaving last night around 5pm we went to hand the Manager our sleeve with the bill and cash as payment inside. An employee standing next to the Manager said I will take that. Then about 5 minutes later while we were waiting outside for the valet our waiter came out and said the money was short….short by 80.00 dollars!! I would ask you to check your camera to verify who took our bill and money…it’s outrageous!! I did call the Manager on my way home…he seemed uninterested.

I ordered curbside service from the Westheimer location in Houston, Texas. I placed the order at 7:12pm and my food was due to be picked up by 8:01pm per the online service. I arrived at the restaurant at 8:00pm and called the restaurant to let them know I was there for pick-up. The hostess asked for my name and placed me on hold for 6 mins. I called back and someone else answered the phone. I then explained to her that I was there for pick up. After giving the name for my order again, she says they will have my order right out. Did not happen! After 12 minutes of waiting I called back into the restaurant asking to speak with a manager. DOUG (GM) came to the phone and I explained to him the situation and wanted to know why I haven’t received my food that was due to be picked up at 8:01pm and it’s now 8:20pm. He then says “well it’s not ready yet. We are busy. All of Houston decided they wanted to eat here tonight”. I was highly upset! I told him that was not my fault as a customer. I then asked him how does he plan to compensate me for my inconvenience, he says “I DON’T PLAN TO! I WILL BRING YOUR ORDER OUT WHEN IT’S READY. IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL, I’LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GIVE YOU A REFUND”. That is not how you treat a customer, unacceptable. My order was finally brought out to me at 8:38pm. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! And to top it off, my ginger sauce for my salad was not in my bag. Seems like customer is NOT priority with this restaurant. I will never visit that location again!

I recently was at your Farmington Hills location on 6/8/2021. I had a terrible experience. First the restaurant was dirty inside and outside. The services were terrible and we had coupons that they would not take do them not being printed. I have been to your other locations with the email that you sent me before with the $30 off coupon and they were accepted. The manager did not try to assist with getting us the credit based of the coupon. We informed her that there was a number and barcode on the form which we thought she could use.

We went to celebrate my daughters 12th birthday with a party of 12 in your Edison NJ location . We were told our wait time would be 10-15 minutes, it ended up being over 30. We sat down and no one came to our table to talk greet or anything until we asked to see a server. After placing our food and drink order it took over 40 minutes to get the drinks AFTER we called a manager. The drinks arrived and we were still waiting on the soups and salad. They brought out soup with beef broth which 90% of the party didn’t have because they don’t eat beef and were told after that a miso option was available. The salad came and the dressing was extremely salted and tasted like it had gone bad. The server brought out a broom and started cleaning the chairs we were sitting on and around us while we were still in it! As we spoke to the manager the waiter laughed the entire time writing down a list of our complaints from the time service took, to any other issues. The chef came out and cooked in utter silence. We had 2 toddlers, one 5 year old and my 12 year old who we were celebrating with us. The chef made no attempts to showcase the cooking and even had the egg cracked and mixed before he got to the table. We ordered sushi that didn’t get to the table even past the hour and a half we were there. The server again smirked and laughed saying I didn’t write it down that you ordered ordered a roll. Now I have a 12 year old crying because she thinks her birthday ruined everyone’s day, when it was your restaurant staff. I have been to hibachi many many times and I have never ever dealt with the type of service I was provided with at your location. I am utterly disgusted by the arrogant server, the chef who could’ve turned this night around but chose to cook to himself in silence, and the manager who said he understood if we walked about because he can’t do anything about this. For the prices you charge, and the type of service your restaurant is known for, I am disgusted by everything I experienced this Thursday night. The staff should be ashamed of themselves.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The manager at this location is just terrible and disrespectful. I am appalled at how I was spoken to. I had a reservation for a party of 13 and more than half of my party arrived, they would not sit them, which I respect but that was not told to me when I made my reservation. I was told if half the party there they would be seated. This was my first time ever going there and I will never be going back.

We have always enjoyed celebrating our birthdays at the Miami location. Last night we had a very unenjoyable experience. The service was very bad. We were sitting outside and no one came to take our order, even after we went inside and complained. We waited a very long time for service. The restrooms were filty. This is not acceptable. I will not return to the Miami location. Definitely do not rececommend it. And if I decide to go to the other S. Florida locations, and they are not good, I will not return to any Benihana restaurants in the future.

My husband and I went to the Boca Raton Benihana which we thought would be an enjoyable experience as we have had in the past with this chain. It started when the waitress asked for our drink order. Instead of the hot green tea my husband ordered, he received a Pepsi. When he told the waitress she returned with an ice tea. The chef showed up and started cooking as the soup was served. He asked if we liked mushrooms and had to leave the food cooking while he went to find them. He dished out the food and when we said we hadn’t gotten our salad he left and retrieved the salads while our food was getting cold. The waitress appeared after we finished our cold meal and asked if there was anything else. I mentioned we never got our shrimp appetizer, she then went for the shrimp after we had finished. The whole experience took less than 10 minutes. We have had a more relaxing time at a McDonalds. The food was also bad besides being cold. We will never go to this Benihana’s again, and will think twice about going to any of them. We started going to Benihana when it started in New York many, many years ago. What a shame it has come to this!

This has got to be the worst place ever. I took my family ( a total of 10 people) to the Concord Ca. location there to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday and what a waist of time and money. I am sure in this economy they will be closing soon as well. The chef was new and awful, no special tricks, no conversation, couldn’t get anything in his hat, but he did manage to get a shrimp tail in my coke. I called to complain and the managers are just a bad. No assistance or concern about what we had just experienced. I am now hoping to contact the corp. office in hopes of some assistance.
