1st time here and we will definitely go back. Everything we are was delicious, but I loved the brisket. We shared 3 sides potato salad, bake beans & Mac & cheese ( all 3 were really good. Can’t wait to go back for brisket sandwich & try a few more sides.

Brisket was like shoe leather. No smoke ring. Ribs and rib tips were overcooked to the point where they were falling off the bone and simultaneously charred and burnt tasting. No smoke ring. Terrible. Might try again. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in. It was our first time there, so we asked for a rundown of options. The owner is exceptionally nice. The ribs were really good. The sauce is tasty and not too spicy. There are plenty of side options to choose from. I loved the baked beans. Some sides were not available since they were already sold out. I will be returning very soon. Don’t change a thing.

Our first time here was this evening and WOW! Delicious. Juicy, moist pulled pork, refreshing tomato cucumber salad. Fried cabbage was divine . It really was. Ham and just enough of a kick to be a surprise but not overpower everything else. My husband had the brisket which was super generous in portion and equally moist and delicious. He also had the potato salad which was mustard based and yummy! Did I mention that the bbq sauce was perfect? No?! Well, it was light, sweet and just the right amount to not overpower but more to compliment the meat. The owner was super friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back soon . What a gem to have in Westwood proper ❤️

This place I highly recommend you swing by or even make the drive across town if you’re a traveling on the interstate highway close by it’s worthwhile pit stop and they also have semi tractor-trailer parking for you long haulers. The food is fantastic the head chef and owner is constantly attempting to improve the food quality and taste. Green beans are some of the best I’ve ever had rib tips and their brisket as well as their turkey. If you like collard greens they have some really good collard greens and homemade peach cobbler I recommend you stop by on a Friday or Saturday when they have the buffet it is one hell of a deal and you definitely will not go home hungry.

Finally had a chance to try Benin’s this weekend, and it was worth the wait! Best greens I’ve ever had in my life, and the spicy barbecue sauce was perfect with my pulled pork. It’s great for the neighborhood to have a restaurant in that space (formerly a Subway), and I definitely recommend trying it. Support our local businesses!

I’ve been eyeballing this place for a year now and finally bit the bullet. I wanted to love it. The sides are incredible, probably the best I’ve ever had. Waited for the brisket to come out fresh bc it’s what I’ve been craving all year and it ended up being dry like an overcooked steak at golden corral. I can’t convey to you how sad I was, lol.
