Nothing special about this place, maybe to locals it may a good place to Mexican food. Parking is hard to find around the area. Food was tasty, but nothing to make us want to come back here time and time again. Friendly service.

I’m standing outside this place at 10:20pm on a Saturday night. The door is locked and they are closing, again. I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me. Ignore the hours that Google posts because these guys close whenever they feel like it. It’s a shame because they have the best burritos.

As a trained chef and LA Foodie, I’m extremely critical of any food I consume. While I can easily eat anywhere, I’d rather find that hidden gem that isn’t necessarily found in some high end restaurant. Going to any restaurant that has items they do exceptionally well makes it worth the experience. Benito’s is one of those places. The menu is limited, but their shining stars are the rolled tacos and their burritos. Out of principle, I refused to “overpay” for the street tacos, since those are available ANYWHERE in LA for under $2.50. As to the rolled tacos: they were perfectly filled, deep fried and topped with lettuce, guacamole and cheese. Smother this deliciousness with a mixture of their green and red salsa…winner winner, taco dinner! It’s really filling! As to the burritos: all super filled with a variety of very well seasoned meat (Sonoran style), so naturally expect the meat to taste as though it came right off the charcoal grill. But their bean and cheese burrito, a simple burrito, was absolutely delicious and was worth ordering it. Currently, their hours of operation, fluctuate, so call ahead. Overall…TERRIFIC!

Came here thinking it would be authentic tacos and was super excited to try the shredded beef tacos BUT THEY WERE THE WORST TACOS IVE EVER HAD. So tasteless and stale im pretty sure all the food here they serve is low quality food. No wonder the prices are so low. 5$ for a taco and it was terrible! Even taco trucks have better tacos than this place! I even ordered a bean and cheese burrito and it was so tasteless and dry. Chips were gross. The salsa was gross. Even my boyfriend tried the steak and carnitas taco and said it was disgusting and the meat was grey. HOW DISAPPOINTING. I only came here because it was rated 4.0 Stars and above. and honestly this place deserves 1.5 stars.

Bad excuse for Mexican food. Use to come here back in the day. They proved they can’t afford to hire real employees.Taquitos were 2 days old. The microwave could not even save them. Stingy with peppers and sauces (watery bland). Food got worse but prices went up. Please pay somebody real money to work there and stop hiring cheap labor you’re f’ng up your restaurant. I wont ever be back to that Sh^thole.

If you’re looking for good or authentic Mexican food, save your money and time and go somewhere else. To begin with, tacos are $4 (any good simple taco is never more than $3 usually) and it turns out, they’re the taco bell kind except with much less flavor. The shell was flavorless and the shredded chicken was low quality. They didn’t didn’t have cilantro by itself or most other toppings usually offered for Mexican food aside from Pico and guac. The Carne asada fries were okay, but the asada was questionable. Again, do not waste your money.
