This was our first time dinning there, and we loved it. The food was delicious!! We’ll be back.

The spiciest food I have ever had! We ordered a shrimp soup that was so spicy our tongues hurt! We also ordered a mahi fillet with a small salad. We were hoping that the salad was going to calm the heat but the salad was also spicy!!!!!

We’ve tried a lot of the Mexican restaurants around the SoPines/Aberdeen/Pinehurst area and Benji’s is by far our favorite. Texture and flavors of the dishes were authentic. Portion sizes were adequate as well.

Probably the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had around these parts. Service was a little slow but we weren’t in a big hurry so it was no big deal. Typical Mexican restaurant atmosphere. My tamales came wrapped in corn husks, you don’t see that very often! Maybe a little pricey, 9:00 to $11 a plate at lunch. I prefer the pork tamales over the chicken tamales.

With this Mexican restaurant being so close to Pinehurst, this has the potential to be the new hot spot! The burritios and quesadillas is a family favorite. Enjoyable (pictured: passion fruit) margaritas and mango flavored water, for those who don’t imbibe, neither overwhelmingly sweet!

Service was slow but pretty excellent once we had their attention.

We will not be back. The place is dirty and the workers were sleeping on the tables while we were eating and the waitresses kids were running around playing. The service is very poor and the waitress has no knowledge of the menu and the prices are very high. We used to like the food and could tolerate the rest but, it has gone down hill and the portions are smaller.

The food is cold. The flavor bland. Overall, not a great experience. I really was hoping for it to be better. Because it seemed very authentic. But I’ve had a lot of Mexican in my life, really good Mexican and this didn’t even come close. #sadlydisappointed

Beef required more seasoning, and the rice was bland as well. Black beans were ok. Much better choices for Mexican food in Aberdeen & surrounding area than this. The kicker was the waitress didn’t even know the daily special. Mood in the restaurant was similar to a funeral home.

We waited too late to go to our favorite places on a Friday night with our family so the wait was really long everywhere we tried so I thought we would try somewhere new to us. I had passed by this place a couple of times and thought we would try it. The minute we walked in we saw that it was a family business which made us happy. We were sat immediately and our orders taken quickly. They brought the chips and queso quickly and you could tell that both were very fresh. The food was brought quickly and as soon as each item was ready which was great because the kids came out first (always a plus for us) The food was fresh and authentic and the cook/owner came out personally to speak with each table there. We would definitely go back, we love to support family owned businesses in the area.
