Had a wonderful dinner last night at Benny & Babes, in the Buckley House on Front Street. Buckley House had been one of our favorite local restaurants, and we took too long to try out the new proprietors. A highlight for me was the first course of fried green tomatos – WOW. The prix fixe price was well worth the generous four course meal. Very friendly service too. We ate inside but outside seating is available also. We’ll be back!

Delicious gourmet cuisine! We got the grilled carrots with burrata and mushroom gnocchi. Hands down the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. We showed up an hour before closing and they weren’t busy, so we got our order quickly. I’m going to crave that gnocchi after this.

Best best best dining experience! The host Oliver was so kind, and made sure we were comfortable and well tended to! Food was great, big portions! Their menu changes weekly. We got the whipped feta with the house bread (I don’t personally like feta but this was delicious), pork chop, smoked chicken and the sweet potato crème brûlée

I found myself making audible “mmmm” sounds. They should have kicked us out but they treated us so well. 😉 Each item we tried was a culinary delight. The unique flavor takes on traditional southern cousine were not only delicious, they were perfectly suited for the historic picturesque space. We cannot wait for our next date night!

We have loved every visit to Benny and Babe. From Sunday brunches to the “world tour” prix fixe, each meal is wonderful. We absolutely love the whole crew too! It’s a perfect mix of comfy and elevated. I highly suggest giving it a try!

Wonderful dining experience. Our server was attentive, and our drinks were always full. Beautiful food presentation. The appetizers were so good. My chicken was too salty for my taste palette. Everything else was tasty. We will be returning for future visits.

Hosted a baby shower at Benny & Babe, and the experience was excellent from beginning to end. They helped us create a delicious menu to please a variety of tastes, and provided a beautiful setting that needed no extra decorating. Every guest raved over the delicious food, and the Lavender Lemonade was a hit! I can’t say enough about how helpful and accommodating the staff was to help with our special event.
