The lobster roll was delicious (30 dollars the average sandwich)! Lot of tasty meat! Nothing special but lobster flavor is “unique” so I enjoyed every bite. I can not say the same of the coleslaw. Little portion and it wasn’t delicious, just ok. French fries really good! But I am not fan of those. So I suggest more salad and less fries.

Got the calamari there with clam cakes. The calamari was the worst i have ever had EVER and i live in Rhode Island and eat calamari often. There was maybe 12 rings equivalent to maybe 2 squid bodies at a cost of $13.00 and it was like chewing on a rubber band. There was actually more banana peppers than calamari in the order. The clam cakes were good but did not have almost any clams in them. The food was a lot better when they were located in High St.

This was our second year in a row going to Benny’s Clam Shack. The food was excellent, we ordered I think about 4/5 items definitely the full belly clams. The service was fast and friendly. Benny remembered us from the previous year. The cost was about what you’d expect to pay for what was ordered but the serving was big. All in all we will definitely be going back next year and we went back again before we left! Sorry no photos

Took a drive to beach today. Stopped for take out…clam cakes and red clam chowder. If you call it clam chowder, put some clams in it. Other wise call it clam broth. Not flavorful at all. Ordered one cup, one bowl. Got two cups. However, clam cakes were great!

Wow! Benny’s blew our expectations out of the water! We used to live in Rhode Island but moved away and we were back in the area visiting. In the mood for clam shack type food and without the patience for the line at Monahan’s, my husband and I had dinner at Benny’s. We got the snail salad, fish tacos, and clam chowder and everything was excellent. Snail salad was super fresh and chowder was superb (dill was a nice touch!). The fish tacos were next level! After my husband’s first taco, we ordered a second order of fish tacos to go. I wish we would have gotten a side of the slaw, it made the tacos. We will be back the next time we are in the area! Skip the line, go to Benny’s. It’s not to be missed!

The food actually was not horrible. It was all pretty decent besides the fish and chips that had inch thick batter and a quarter inch filet of fish the terrible part was the service. The guy was super rude spending over $160 there and they have to charge me extra for a little bit of honey mustard I guess that’s the reason why the place was dead and all the other Rhode Island icons were jammed

Always a privilege to back a veteran-owned business.

There weren’t many people there. It didn’t take more than 20 minute to get 2 bowls of chowder and dozen clam cakes. The staff was friendly and polite, when the order was done they came and brought it out to us. The food was great. Definitely worth the money and we will definitely be back for more.

Waited over an hour for our food, there were maybe half a dozen people in front of us so busy isn’t an excuse. Food was cold which is weird thought an hour wait would’ve meant it’d be pretty fresh out of the fryer/chowder vat. My husband asked for extra tartar sauce was met with a crude “it’s an extra charge” which was fine but then the person just never came back and honestly we won’t either.
