HELLO I’m soooo happy I found this place!! I never knew what a Knish was – a bread filled with delicious stuffings of various flavors?! YES PLEASE! So I tried the chicken curry which was the daily special, the BenReuben with pastrami (stupid good) and the cream cheese potato goodness (maybe my favorite?) We also got a ton of different sauces and I was super surprised how much I loved the salmon one. We also got a side of roasted beets that were perfectly done, and some sweet treats!

Absolutely delicious foods. Every single item I ordered was the best I have ever tried. I even cried at how delicious my sandwich was. I got rugelach, hamentaschen, macaroons, a corned beef and pastrami sandwich, and one of each knish. My only regret is that I don’t live anywhere near this place.

The knish was DELISH! We tried three different ones and all were yummy. The owner was super nice and helped pick out what sauces pair well with each knish. We took a few home to warm up later and still delicious! Go here!

First of all, they’re so friendly and excited to be there! The person who helped us made great suggestions and was very patient while we debated. We ended up with two knishes and a pickle. The everything with potato and cream cheese was good and I like that they come with sauces.

BenReuben’s Knishery makes the most spectacular, comforting, elevated Ashkenazi Jewish food. Their rugelach is flakey, tangy, not too sweet and indulgent. The spinach potatoes taste like my great grandmother’s finest cooking. Their harissa roasted chickpeas and cauliflower is beautifully spiced, their knishes are crisp and delicious, their pickles are crunchy and delightfully zesty. BenReuben’s Shabbat dinners come with simple instructions for reheating that take the pressure off cooking for busy families. Go order from them, your whole family will thank you.

This place is phenomenal. A one-of-a-kind gem in the Portland area. Everything I’ve had from this place is a winner! Arguably some of the best food in Southern Maine!

The smoked hotdog is a favorite. Also, the Ben Reuben knish is fantastic. I have actually enjoyed everything I have tried. It’s very homey inside. It’s like stepping back in time into your grandmother or grandfather’s kitchen. And don’t forget to try a few rugelach.

The owner Grahm does a great job suggesting items, and making sure you are taken care of with awesome food! I’ve been here three times now and absolutely love it. I’ve tried a few different knishes which have been delicious and flavorful. I always ask what sauce to pair them well and those add a fun additional layer to the knish experience. I just got a hot pastrami which was to die for, and my wife tried the savory kugel which she’s raving about too.
