Nice restaurant with cozy, casual seating. I always go when it’s off hours in the afternoon and it’s really peaceful. Could imagine getting some work done there. Love Ethiopian food but love that it’s not the same old thing I could get in every state. This place feels unique and catered towards people who like a taste of everything. Plus, it’s mainly all Gluten Free and Plant Based, which makes it one of the only places I enjoy in the Santa Monica area. Love the Sunday teff (gf) pancake spread with it’s wonderful side of tofu scramble

the reviews do not lie, an incredible Ethiopian restaurant that is also all plant based. extremely delicious from start to finish (recommend the wish plate to share and dessert as well). friendly servers and an overall great experience, highly recommend!

Was hoping for more from this vegan Ethiopian restaurant. Starter was nice with very large stuffed jalapenos which were very spicy! Main course of cauliflower was underwhelming. Service was very hit and miss (though friendly) and the loud blender made conversation comically difficult at times!

So happy to have found an exceptional Ethiopian place in Santa Monica. Food, service, atmosphere are all amazing! I got The Wish Meal which is Eat the Rainbow plus 3 additional items and it is the perfect amount for 2 people to share. The presentation is so colorful and beautiful, and all the different portions of the dish are so tasty. I cannot believe how much flavor is packed into every bite. I especially enjoyed the tofu tibs; my least favorite was the gray-green lentils, the Azifa, I think. Their injera is good and delivers on the soft, fluffy, sourdough, crepe texture that I love. Everyone that works there is so nice and service is always top notch. They are very dog friendly which is a huge plus in my book. I’ve taken many friends here who have never tried Ethiopian food before, and they have all been blown away and love this place.

It’s like a modern Ethiopian? Really really tasty and seems super fresh. Maybe a tad salty compared to other Ethiopian? I’m nit picking at this point. The flavors are wonderful! Not sure why they had baklava but I got it anyway

Food is very unique and different. It was good, but it’s not for everyone. In fact I think that’s it’s biggest issue, it doesn’t cater to the mass majority. Also portions are quite small for the price you pay. I didn’t like the fact you order and pay the way you do. And the double store front is odd. It’s a cute place and I think it’s better for lunch than dinner. Something I’d try but not something I’m dying to go back to. I think they also need some cool cocktails.

Very cute inside, lots of space, order at counter-style. Departure from a traditional Ethiopian restaurant experience but their versions of the Ethiopian dishes were excellent and unique in their interpretations. The bunna coffee had lemon peel and rue berries which gave it a floral taste maybe a little bit similar to chai. Totally unique and delicious. Extra points since it’s all plant-based/vegan.
