I love it here! Sandwhiches are amazing and simple. The tomato bisque is the best tomato soup I’ve had. They make it fresh daily! The service is amazing as well. The workers are friendly and attentive. We received everything quickly.

For 50 years Berge’s has ranked as a favorite dining spot. We loved the staff who asked carefully how we wanted our sandwiches customized to our taste. The fresh-baked bread and homemade ingredients result in perfect sandwiches. Queeny Yeghiaian, the wife of Berge who created the shop 50 years ago but sadly has passed, was sititng in the dining area watching to make sure every customer was satisfied. We talked to her after our meal to let her know it was just as good as the Google Reviews had promised.

We ordered a pastrami sandwich, a tomato basil soup, and a side of pickles. The soup was a bit too garlicky for my liking. But the pastrami sandwich was decent at best. It tasted homemade and simple.

Stopped here after the botanical garden last week and haven’t stopping craving it since. I got the turkey avocado sandwich and it was so fresh and was the perfect, filling, healthy sandwich. The tomato bisque is also amazing. If I lived closer I would eat here on the regular.

Love this place, especially the tuna melt, the pickles and the amazing baklava. The interior feels so cozy and retro and I’m glad it hasn’t been hollowed out and remodeled in that generic airspace way.

Add me to the list of people who don’t get why this place is rated so high. I think it’s because the local eateries in LC get some special treatment by the locals. If you’ve had sandwiches outside of LC you can probably skip this one.
