Do not miss this place, especially on Thursdays for the specials. Today, we ordered a macadamia-encrusted ahi tuna with cucumber ginger salad and rice, which the chef made without cream just for me. WOW. Absolutely fantastic. (I took a bite before I took the photo) Chef Tim does everything homemade and with great care and attention to great ingredients and innovative combinations. Yes, it is a burger joint, and the food is way above the ordinary.

Had their weekly special cheese steak and it was phenomenal. My initial thought was “Finally, someone who knows how to cook!” I could tell cheese sauce was actually house made and not some goop from giant can sold at a warehouse, and the steak and roll were fantastic. The chicken tenders and cheese curds are good as well. The shakes are good and the burger I had was just OK, will be back to try others. It took me years to try because I thought their prices were ridiculous, though the portions are decent and the owner guarantees fresh ingredients from local vendors. It’s worth a visit and I wish I’d tried it sooner but it’s definitely only a once in a while thing.

Bergstrom’s burger is one of my favorite places to to eat. The food is always fresh fast and locally sourced when possible. We eat here at least once a week. I would definitely recommend it when your near chums corner. I always have the veggie burger! Burgers, fries and onion rings are amazing.! Thank you Tim and Kathy for always making sure the food is great! Check them out on Thursdays for the weekly specials.

Went in at 3pm on a Saturday. Only 3 tables were seated. 5 people seated total. There are 3 different menus scattered. One appears to be a daily menu written on a chalk board. The other a hand written one at the counter. Then the laminated ones they give you. One server. She never once came to our table. We had to walk around across the room to the different menus to figure out what we wanted. We stayed basic. Fish sandwhich and a chicken sandwhich with sweet potatoe fries. Fish sandwhich was good. Chicken was good but extremely dry. Very dry. 2 employees were sitting in the lobby at a customer table watching a movie on a laptop. We had to get up from our table and walk up to them to request drink refills and a to go box. Then you also have to get up and walk back up to the counter to order your food as well. And you pay before you get your food. They also ask for a tip then before any possible customer service is given out. Which it never was our entire stay. 5 customers with 6 employees, 2 of which watching movies must be too busy. Our food for two sandwiches came out to $40. Not worth it at all. Customer service and setup alone will keep us away. Fix the setup. Get ONE menu. Have your wait staff actually wait on customers. And don’t ask for payment and tip before service is rendered.

Finally!! A yummy burger in Traverse City! Juicy, done perfectly and generous size! The 1/4lb Hula Slider was just right for this lady. Side of onion rings to split with the hubs was super crispy and plentiful for the 2 of us. Hubs had the Bacon Raclette slider and he loved it. Awesome flavor, he said. The owner/chef, Chef Tim came over to talk with us. He let us know the Thursday special will be shaved prime rib sandwich

My new favorite place in TC!! The host/ waitress was very friendly, the burgers were juicy and delicious. The owner also came out himself to greet us. It was just overall a good atmosphere.
