We researched top spots in Kennesaw and came across this location. I would say that those evaluations are correct. The food, service and atmosphere were top notch. We ordered quite a few appetizers and the chargrilled oysters were excellent, as well as the Calamari. For entrees we had the chinichurri steak. It was kinda small but also not extremely expensive so that is fine. The drinks were not extremely unique but the execution of the classics was done well. We would like to explore the menu some more on our next visit.

To start, the service was outstanding. We sat on the 2nd floor which was a nice view from our table. They have outdoor seating too, which I recommend if the weather is nice. The Queso appetizer is awesome. The Queso is super flavorful and you get both chips and tortillas. Both our meals (pictured) tasted fantastic. I loved that the fries had chunky sea salt. They were amazing.

Mixed review but a recent visit ruined Bernie’s for us going forward. First time we went here we had a great experience and our server was awesome. Raw oysters were fresh served on ice, drinks we’re good as was our burgers. However, our last experience here was much different, my girlfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartenders were not the most attentive and our food/drink orders took quite a bit of time to come out. That wasn’t the biggest problem for us though, we ordered the raw oysters here again and when they finally arrived we were very disappointed. One, the oysters were not served on ice, this might have been the first time that’s happened since I’ve eaten here and other places. The oysters were also warm which to us signaled a food safety concern. After seeing this we sent the oysters back and then witnessed some unprofessional behavior from a blond woman who appeared to be the manager. The bartender and the manager were talking about the oyster situation 4 feet in front us. The manager argued “who cares if they aren’t served on ice, they’re refrigerated” and she rolled her eyes, snatched the oyster plate from the bartender and stormed back into the kitchen.

Nice atmosphere, more mature crowd age wise and great service. My husband sat at the bar until I arrived. He said drinks could be better mixed but once he did that, they were good. Hostess was warm and inviting as was our waitress Jada. She had great feedback and suggestions. Had the chargrilled oysters and calamari for appetizer, they were ok. To be fair I eat a lot of oysters all types of ways so I have a wide range to compare. The food is food. It lacks seasoning, anything breaded has a lot of breading and burgers do not have your typical lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle companions. He ordered the brisket and short rib burger and immediately I knew he didn’t like it. Jada was nice suggested the waygu and he said it was better but not great. All in all prob not the place for us but a cool hangout spot.

We’ve lived in Kennesaw for three years and somehow just made it here for the first time last night. My husband and I both love food and have a hard time finding restaurants that have better food than we can make at home. The food at Bernie’s was fantastic! We had appetizers, entrees, and desserts and were impressed with everything. Their wine list is a good variety without a huge markup and they made me a mock-tail version of a mai tai that was great. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and seemed to enjoy working there. Our only disappointment is that we didn’t come here sooner.

It was alright. I feel like our expectations were a little too high, considering the prices. Weather was perfect and the outside seating was nice.

Very nice place in a convenient location with great parking availability (on a Sunday). The atmosphere was laid back with a Sunday football game on the big screens over the bar. I enjoyed the Camp Burger (their version of the Big Mac), so delicious! I had it with onion rings which were yummy too. I recommend you give it a try. The menu is super interesting and I’m sure you’ll find something you like!

Really good! My wife and I came here for lunch/brunch after a baseball tournament nearby. Food was excellent (she had the wagyu burger, I the Reuben). We did share some fried pickles which, for me the breading was too thick but they still tasted good. I also had a Bloody Mary that was very good and definitely not weak! Service was great, though they weren’t too crowded at the time. The ambiance is really nice and I could see it being a great place to go for dinner and drinks if we lived in the area.

Went for date night. First time here. It was crowded but we waited only 15 minutes to be seated. Our server was nice. Ordered drinks once we sat down, they did take a while to come out but they were good. The crispy calamari was really good!! They don’t have a large entree menu but decent selections. I had the pad Thai and it was ok. Didn’t have the authentic taste that I’m used to. My husband had the burger and he enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere. It was a good place to try. Not sure I’d come back any time soon. But I would recommend.
