This place is an absolute treasure! Although they offer an extensive menu, I couldn’t resist trying their pupusas. They come in various delectable fillings like pork and cheese, shrimp, loroco, spinach and jalapeño, and more, all priced at a reasonable $4 each. Served piping hot and freshly made, they are accompanied by a side of flavorful red salsa and curtido. I had three pupusas, which made for a good dinner portion. With tax and tip, the total bill was less than $15. Additionally, their horchata is delicious, and there’s plenty of parking in the lot out front.

This was my first time ever having Salvadoran food and it was delicious. They did not disappoint. I’m glad I finally checked this place out. I had the fried tilapia and it came with rice and a salad-I loved everything about it and the fish was huge! I also got a chicken and cheese pupusa-I’ve never had pupusas before but it’s not really my jam. It was okay.

Had always been on the lookout for Salvadoran place. Glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Ordered their pupusa con loroco (5/5 tasty!) & sopa de patas… which quickly worried the waitress. She wondered if I know what it is. Too bad I left my “foodie – will eat anything” card at home, but I assured her I know what I’m ordering. The soup was DIVINE! Even my less- adventurous step sister was blown away with the broth. I’d give 8/5 score!

Absolutely fabulous food and kind, warm service. The pupusas were the best especially chicken and cheese and jalapeño and cheese. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked and the carne asada place was hearty. Excited to come back for more! A humble yet hoppin neighborhood restaurant, full with its own community.

Come to eat here if you want low quality service. I came ready to eat delicious salvadorean food, However I had one of the worst experiences. Service was slow. After some time they took my order. I ordered a plate of plantains and beans. The beans had a rancid taste and the plantains tasted inedible. The plantains tasted like they were taken out of the freezer and deep fried.

Berta’s makes such good bananas, and the pupusas are great! I honestly haven’t ordered anything else because the pupusas are so good.
