Great people great food… no corporate food just great old home cook meals. Been coming here for over 15years. They have what I call a real beef rice and beans Burrito!(homemade flour tortitas) It only takes on of these too fill you up! Its not like the others who put extra things on their Burrito!

Quick service from a surprisingly large menu of offerings sums up this small family-run restaurant tucked behind a bakery southwest of Waco’s downtown. The chips are served with a hot, tasty salsa. My pork with verde sauce proved to be delightfully spicy and tender, delicious with the house-made tortillas. It’s cash only, so be sure to hit the ATM before stopping by.

We stopped by for breakfast. This is family operated business. The parking is limited. Many people had called their order to the restaurant and took it to go. When you go into the front door you at the bakery. They have many types of Mexican sweet breads. If go straight back from the front door you go into the restaurant. We sat ordered and ate.

I have enjoyed Bertha’s for years Easter my girlfriend and I went to eat lunch her first time and last time to ever attend . My last time as well she ordered a Dr pepper .brought in a can no glass or ice offered. I ordered migas.i recieved a plate of cold corn tortillas mixed in with canned refried beans . jalapeno I requested. Basically refried cold beans jalapeno and the tortillias were crisp . No way was this migas and the plate was rudely set on table. She ordered huevos rancheros .refried beans a scrambled egg and potatoes which were still raw . Neither of us could eat our meal. I told the rude waiter who needs never wait on public worse I had ever had. This cost me 21.50 for 2.00 meal. OMG never ever been any place this bad. Below zero score if available we were robbed.Sucked!!
