I cannot give this place high enough praise! The brisket is lean tender and delicious. The pulled pork is also excellent. So are the ribs, sausage, potato salad, and Texas toast… It’s all delicious! Portion sizes are excellent. You won’t go away hungry! Environment is a classic Texas BBQ joint which we love! The best part though was Donnie, the owner, who went above and beyond the call of duty by helping my daughter find her retainer which she had accidentally thrown in the trash. He was so friendly and kind and clearly he knows all the locals by name. Thanks Donnie!!!

Finding a place like this is why people take road-trips! Some of the best bbq ever. The brisket is absolutely delicious. We tried both varieties. The pulled pork was tender and wonderful. The ribs were perfect.

Amazing barbecue made with love and care. Just try the brisket, as a plate, on a sandwich, with some sausage. Just eat it. You’ll experience something incredible! The staff is very friendly as well and willing to explain what is available in detail.

My husband and I found this place on our way home from vacation and we could not have asked for a better note to end it on! We chose the restaurant based on reviews and we were NOT disappointed! Doni fixed us up with a sampler plate and every bite was delicious! The brisket melted in our mouths, the pork ribs were perfectly cooked, and both types of sausage, including the alligator, were great too! My husband said the pinto beans were the best he’s ever had! Marianne’s key lime pie was pure perfection as well – not too tart, not too sweet! All her other homemade desserts looked so tempting it was difficult to choose just one!

This is the absolute best bar-b-q you will find. Plus they have a stage outside for live music. Owner Doni Simmons will blow you away inside with great food and hosptality and singing on stage. You absolutely need to try it.

If you rate anything lower than a 5 then you have a terrible problem. We drove 10 miles out of our way to try this bbq and we were not disappointed. The brisket was the best we ever had. Good family atmosphere. Everything was wonderful. This is a must visit.
