Yesterday i’m riding in Gurnee and see this restaurant , I was craving Chinese food. But baby when I tell you this place is horrible it is. Right now there is no dining in and I see why.

Pot stickers were good. Fried rice was meh. Sweet and sour chicken was very sub-par – it was over-breaded and lacked any taste, save for the sauce which seemed low quality (not spoiled, but neither sweet nor sour, kind of undefinable as it could have been almost any red sauce). Take out only at this time (late May 2023).

First time visit… Dropped in for lunch. Small Chinese traditional restaurant. Egg drop soup was great! Thick with eggs soup is my favor. Food was tasty, not over salty and Mongolian beef dish sause was just right. Portions was perfect for lunch. Lady owner server helped us quickly. Place looked clean without any usual Chinese mimic decorations. Didnt care to judge outdated decor… 5 stars for mompop local category.

One of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The sweet chicken was cold not crispy. The chip suey was terrible. High prices less quality. Avoid this place and go to a more familiar place to get better Chinese food.

This restaurant used to have fantastic Chinese food(20 years ago), but sadly you can get better from the frozen section at Jewel now a days…. YOU INSULT FOOD WITH WHAT YOU SERVE

My family always get a big order on Christmas Day and it’s always a huge hit! Best take out place around the area and have never had any issues with their food or service. Honestly the best egg rolls I’ve ever had and the staff there is friendly to deal with. Order more than you think you need since the leftovers are just as good the next day…..Support your local Chinese take out!

It’s decent enough. If you get fried entrees, expect there to be more breading than meat, though. We have had their food a couple of times, once everything was bland, the other time there was enough flavor. The item that is consistently tasty is the egg roll. Unfortunately there are no quality options in the area, but I’d say if you like Panda Express’s menu, then that is leagues better than this.

I ordered a large Egg drop soup to go. Terrible had to throw away as they put corn in it. I’m allergic to corn a d the menu just says egg drop soup. I have never had a restaurant put corn. In that soup. I called and said I have to throw this away because it states no where about the corn. She just said always comes with corn and nothing else like well refund money or pick another soup. The shrimp chop suey and fried rice had no taste and the sauce the chop suey was in was like water. On to find a different Chinese restaurant cause this ain’t it.

Got the Mongolian and orange chicken. Food was alright, average, nothing to write home about. Mongolian chicken was really greasy and noodles underneath were hard. It left a lot to be desired. The orange chicken was what you expect. Warm tangy chicken.
