Met up with a local friend and decided to try out an Ethiopian restaurant. We were not disappointed at all. The lamb tibs, spicy beef tibs, and crispy beef were all amazing with our vegetable combo.

Positively delicious. Very generous portions, such delicious spices, so flavorful. There was 5 of us and we ordered two of the large plates. We are visiting from out of town but would come back here next time.

Think twice about this place and try another Ethiopian spot. First time visiting and won’t be back. Arrived with a party of 2 and had to walk to a man (I get the vibe he’s a manager or owners kid) to ‘greet’ him to get a table. We was seated. He gave us water and the menus. Then we waited…and waited…and waited some more – 15 mins or so. I don’t mind waiting however there was about 10 people in the restaurant and there was another setting of 3 that came in after us and they ordered and had their drinks. It wasn’t until I got up to ask the man we were ready to order. About the food.. The menu isn’t the full Ethiopian menu e.g. Samosa, Sambusa, Doro Tibs, etc. And the choices of meat and veggie combo platter – only one choice or two. The food was visually nice but the taste was average compared to other authentic Ethiopian spots in the area. And about that wait time..guess what when it was near ending of our eating, guess what the other waitress started coming back more frequently aka tip time . I frequent that area a bit and I have no plans on coming back especially when there are other authentic Ethiopian restaurants in the area.

Met up with a close friend that I haven’t seen in 20 years and she recommended this Ethiopian restaurant. I haven’t had Ethiopian food in a long time bc I haven’t found a place where I’ve lived. If you’ve never had Ethiopian food, you have to try it. Don’t get scared not knowing what to order. We ordered the meat and vegetable platter that’s big enough to share. The food here was delicious! And the African crepes are so soft with a light airy feel. Mmm so delicious! It was my husband’s first time trying the food and he was surprised at how tasty everything was. Our server was really friendly and helpful. Lots of seating here and within walking distance of the parking garage.

Very good food. The staff is very nice and helpful, also with the choice of meals. Relaxing atmosphere but deprived of any ethnic decoration/ reference. Very nice place, we would recommend it without doubt.

This place has decent food, but let’s be real downtown Silver Spring is already over saturated with other restaurants just like this one if not better. The service here was absolutely p*ss poor. Mind you, there is no real level of organization in this establishment, the decor is cheap, the seating is never cleaned properly, and the servers all walk around with nasty attitudes if you are not Ethiopian. Specifically concerning my most recent visit, you people need to highlight that you do not do meal substitutions as well as train your staff to be quiet and wait for a manager when they cannot solve an issue. There is no reason you people thought that I would pay FULL PRICE $16.99 for just the gravy from a stew and that I then had to go back and forth with your grubby little waitress about. I eventually was able to come to an agreement with a manager to just charge me for it as a side, but this business is clearly in the dumps if they are that hard pressed for cash to try and charge someone an entree price for OIL AND GRAVY. Even going as far as lying in my face that it took them hours and hours to cook everything to order when they make it in batches at the beginning of the day. I will never be returning and I will discourage everyone I know from going to this place. Integrity will always be the best policy.

The best food with the best friendly and professional staff, the restaurant is located conveniently in downtown silver spring and a few blocks from DC line. Easy to find street parking (make sure you feed the meter)
