Love coming here anytime we come to Kailua. They are open weekends starting at 6pm to the wee morning hours. This time I had the tamale and a torta. I love them both but together it was too much food. I normally go for something smaller like their tacos, especially the shrimp. I just like the salsa that comes on it. If your ever in the area in the evening time go check them out!

The BEST Mexican food I have ever had. I’ve had a lot of Mexican food and this is by far the most authentic. Beto and Melinda are so sweet every time I come (which is alot). The only place I’ll come to get a taco.

Super friendly people running the only legit taco truck on the island in my humble opinion. You can’t get 2am street tacos anywhere else.

It’s OK. Food is reheated not cooked in the truck. Tortillas fell apart easily because they were steamed or microwaved, not heated on a Comal (cast iron skillet) like they are supposed to be. Ordered the fish tacos; slaw and salsa have good flavor, fish did not. All in all it was decent but was hoping for more flavor.

Tasty but we don’t think it totally lived up to it’s current 4.9 star rating. I had a chicken burrito and it was nice and soft (everything was cooked well but just lacking in a bit of flavour (but, full transparency, could have totally been my fault for requesting no tomato and no hot salsa). Boyfriend had two tacos – one pork and one shrimp. Pork taco was better – the shrimp themselves were too small and the shrimp taco was not that flavoursome. Worthwhile if you’re hungry and it’s late (they’re open till late) but don’t go out of your way for it.

This place might be the best place for Mexican food in Kailua, at the very least at 10pm on a Saturday. It makes me a little sad that the prices have been raised which make it a little bit more difficult to swallow but it still retains value for the most part. Their tacos are a little dry by themselves so stay and use their sauce but their tortas are still solid.

This is the best Mexican food I’ve had on island and some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Tamales are on point and street tacos are legit. If you eat tacos anywhere else in Kailua you’re wasting your time and money.

Ordered the shrimp tacos and some carne asada tacos along with a chicken quesadilla. The shrimp tacos were ok but not great and when we asked for salsa they told us the tacos already came with salsa. When we got home the carne asada tacos had a drip of salsa and that was it so basically they were plain tacos with cabbage. The chicken in the quesadilla was dry and had a weird taste to it. Overall the food was very disappointing and not at all what we were expecting.

I’m not a huge fan of Mexican food but I will drive from Waipio to Kailua just for this food truck. You need to try the pork quesadilla’s but no matter what you get you won’t be disappointed. And you will be supporting small local business

Mmmm, tacos. The kids even ate them. And they had issues eating the new food in Hawaii. Exceptionally, great affordable food. Will be visiting next time we are in Oahu for sure.
