The customer service is always excellent. The food is tasty. The size of the dark meat chicken portions look like a baby bird. Make sure you double check your food because some staff dont know the difference from white & dark meats but Derrick will gladly fix any issues. Overall I would say you would want to taste their food again and again.

We were looking for a local restaurant for lunch as we drove the back way from the Triangle Area of NC to the SC coast. We enjoyed the friendly people, excellent service and the food! My father and step-mother both had the fried chicken special with vegetables — both remarked how tasty it all was (we all noticed the large portions!) I had the popcorn shrimp “snack” with hush puppies and slaw — excellent. I especially appreciated the light (perfect?) breading on the shrimp and it was not greasy at all. Thank you for a wonderful stop.

The food was delicious, service was excellent & servants courteous . The Resturant was clean. I will be back and I will promote your business. I would like to suggest another side. Fried or stewed squash.♡ UPDATE: Betty Sue’s is no longer open but they prepare, sell, & cook . They are a fish market now. I really miss Betty Sues.

Seafood, great flour & breaded fried variety of fish, oyster or clam strip meals with. Two sides of a nice variety of vegetables. My wife and I highly recommend their own tomatoes and rice, and the coleslaw. Well portioned dinners, small fish flounder comes with two breaded filets, the large has three. More than enough to eat, great tastes familiar to South Carolina. Specials available with soul. Must try if a fan of seafood.

We were a bit skeptical going in, but WOW! Excellent fish (We had the flounder.) The sides were amazing…we wanted to get a bucket of tomatoes and rice, and the green beans to go. Highly recommend!

This is 3.5 stars. Awesome shrimp & hushpuppies, sides are ok (recommend the snack choice). On my last visit, there were a lot of flies around and the floor was really sticky (easy fixes IMO). Able to overlook, because fried shrimp are so good.
