We are a small Family Diner this little restaurant is build to honor the memory of BEVERLEY LUTHER LIGHTSEY a role model an exemplar loving father and grandfather born in Alabama and moved to ellijay with the intent to retire with his wife jerry (jerry’s general store) the sweetest lady volunteer in the community for over 25 years with both passing within a year apart we want to recreate our memories by bring you our story serving delicious old school smashed burgers, milkshakes, malts, floats and many other choices with plenty of kid friendly options

This was my first time eating at Bev’s Diner. We had THE BEST hamburgers that we’ve had in Ellijay; close to the best anywhere. The meat had such a good flavor, and the buns were fresh. My wife’s grilled chicken sandwich was great too. Both the French fries and the sweet potato fries were good. The burgers were very big.

What a great new place in Elijay! Great smash burgers! Wonderful hand cut fries, and, hand battered onion rings! Great milkshakes as well. My wife had the wake up burger, I had the howdy y’all. We had an order of onion rings and a milkshake each. We will definitely be backon our next visit to the area

We enjoyed our food and would come here again. He had a burger and fries, and I tried the grilled chicken with fries. I seldom finish my plate but on this occasion it was a pleasure! The fries are so good! We finished with a milkshake each and also enjoyed the texture of the shakes. They weren’t too thick, and my malt was very yummy.

Absolutely love the atmosphere of this restaurant! Great addition to small town Ellijay. Easily the best burgers in town. And the milkshakes, DELICIOUS. They have improved so much since opening, and everything gets better and better each day. Staff is super friendly and genuinely cares about those they are serving. Overall, Bev’s Diner is absolutely amazing, 100% would recommend.

When we arrived all was normal, we ordered drinks (shakes and drinks). Then we kept waiting for someone to take our food order to no avail… I had to wave down one of the sitting waitresses to acknowledge I wanted to order food. Some staff were… Showing teenage affection to one another if you know what I mean. A waiter came back asking what we ordered in the beginning for shakes? Then the food came and it was bland. The restaurant was hot, central air may of been struggling with the kitchen, I’m not sure. I would advise against visiting this place with family. If you must go take a friend, and no one else. I’m disappointed with the result as I was highly anticipating a better experience. I hope it can improve as able, I really wanna like this place.

My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the quality of food after reading such great reviews online. The onion rings were greasy and you could smell and taste the dirty oil they were fried in. Our waitress was pleasant, but nothing came out as it should. She brought our side orders of coleslaw and told us to enjoy. Approximately 10 minutes later our order of onion rings were brought out. 15 minutes after the onion rings came out, our burgers were delivered to the table. Both of our burgers were each missing multiple components listed in the description. We usually give restaurants the benefit of the doubt and a lot of times will chalk it up to just a random bad experience but will not be going here again.
