Big Al’s has terrible food. The pizza is overly greasy and the pizza crust is never cooked enough…even though I’ve requested the pizza well done. I’ve given them multiple chances with different menu items and they have failed miserably. A Caesar salad typically consists of romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan cheese and croutons. The salad I received had brown lettuce and maybe 12 tiny croutons. It was pricey and very sad looking. I have ordered salads from neighboring pizza places and they at least put shaved Parmesan in their salad. Needless to say, I will not order from Big Al’s ever again.

This is the second time I tried Big Als. Was told it was great and was disappointed. First time it wasn’t great but figured we’d try again. This second experience was terrible. Called for delivery was told 1 hour. After 90 minutes I called and they said it was out for delivery. After an hour 45 the food arrived cold and the pizza was folded. This place is a joke and I will never get their sub par food again. Do not recommend. Try lake street pizza or go into Oxford to p and d or Carlos or somewhere who takes customer service seriously and takes pride in making good food.

THE GOATS!! Back-story: me and girlfriend were doing a homemade pizza night and went to a grocery store in a different town, on the way home ww realised we forgot the dang pizza dough. so we stopped at the local grocery store but they had none or frozen and every other pizza place was closed, but when we called big al’s they had just what we were looking for and even gave us the pizza dough no charge! totally saved pizza night!

First I want to say that the food here is very good and the owner Sam is always very nice. I am leaving a less than perfect review because of the girl who took my order. When I arrived to pick up my food I saw that it was wrong on the receipt. I had ordered a meatball sub and it said meatball and sausage. I told her that the order was wrong and she argued saying that’s what I ordered and then acted like I was the bad guy in a movie when I told her I’d never have ordered meatball and sausage because my wife hates the smell of sausage. After she agreed to have it remade I went to pay and was told the price was the same for a meatball as it is for a meatball and sausage. I am not in the restaurant business and I may be wrong but every other restaurant charges more for a meatball and sausage than they do for a meatball. So I can only assume that I was ripped off on the price. So I guess thus review is more about this one employee than it is about the restaurant. I will still continue to eat here but I will definitely be having my order read back to me and I will be checking the prices online.

I have to say they are consistent when I’ve placed a delivery order (I’m disabled so prefer delivery to pick-up). I’ve tried ordering from here at least 5 times over the last 5 years and each time I’ve ordered from Big Al’s three things have happened. First, there is always something wrong with the order, usually something is “forgotten” whether an extra topping I’ve paid for or a side order. Calling never helped get it either. Second, add at least an hour to the estimated time they give you as it appears they send their driver out with a bunch of deliveries so it depends on where you fall on their list. I live about a mile away and it takes at least an hour for the delivery to get here. Third, because it takes so long to deliver, the food is usually cold, at best lukewarm turned cold within 10 minutes. They supposedly have tracking on their website for your order but other than saying they’ve started prep, they don’t bother to update.

First and last time that I will be getting anything from Big Al’s Pizza. I ordered online and accidently marked Pickup but called immediately (within 30 seconds of sending order) to have it changed. The girl who answered the phone took my address and said that it was all set. An hour later still not delivered. I called again and it turned out that the girl HADN’T ENTERED the address or changed the order to delivery. All the other girl (who sounded suspiciously like the first girl…hmmm) would say is that they would send it out as the first order. To compound that non-answer, when I inquired how long, (and gave estimates…10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc) she said “I don’t know. It depends on how far away you are”. I have passed by them often and it takes no more than 10 minutes.
