Food was better than expected. Looks more basic than it tastes. Super flavorful. Biscuit was so moist. The jam in the squeeze bottle was so good. The side of gravy had some big chunks of sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The chef was on site. There was a long wait but we used the online waitlist. The outside waiting area was nice and cool. The fresh squeezed oj was perfect.

First time for me to visit a BBB cafe. Reservation system through Yelp worked great. We were offered inside or outside seating and were seated promptly. Friendly staff. Lots of hustle and bustle in the restaurant. My food came out lukewarm, and I’m pretty sure the Sunny side up egg on top has been precooked; my spouse’s food came out hot. Had to ask for butter to go with our biscuits. I thought the food was kinda ‘meh’. Might look for another next time.

I come to Big Bad Breakfast every time I come to Oxford. I’ve always enjoyed having a delicious breakfast here. Today I had the Huevos Rancheros and was pleased. It was very tasty and well prepared.

We’ve been to BBB multiple times and for the life of me, I just can’t fathom that I had not reviewed this tremendous eatery! The food is fantastic – everything! Biscuits, bacon, eggs, gravy, skillets, omelets, it goes on and on. If it’s on the menu, trust me, it will be very satisfying. Service is over the top; we have yet to meet or chat with anyone at BBB who is not extremely friendly and helpful. Did I mention how good the fresh squeezed OJ is? It is maybe the best I’ve had in any restaurant!

Had a lovely brunch. The menu wasn’t as big on ‘creative twists on classics’ as I thought it’d be but that could be either a pro or a con depending on your perspective. I was primarily just happy there were multiple tempting vegetarian options. The coffee was good, biscuits were worth eating and my dish, the yard work Skillet, was memorable – the goat cheese definitely did set it apart. So in the end, perhaps there were just the right number of twists on the menu…

The chicken biscuit is incredible- great serving size and so fresh. For my side I ordered an extra biscuit which was well worth it. The cold brew coffee is refreshing and helped with a well needed energy boost. The location is clean and all staff members were friendly and worked hard as a team. Wonderful dining experience and business.

This experience was pretty okay! I purchased the creole omelet and 2 pancakes and the person I was with ate the chicken and waffles.

A great local spot for breakfast and brunch. They strike the perfect tone between local joint and elevated traditional Southern cooking.
