1st time visiting, I got the brisket chop sandwich, green beans, mustard potato salad. Hubby got the rib tips, collard greens, Mac & cheese, & a brownie. The brisket was SOFT, tasty with just the right amount of seasons, ~$43.

We have eaten here a few times now. This day I had a brisket sandwich with sweet potato casserole and I was very happy! My husband had the same with potato salad, he liked his very much as well. The portion size was big enough for us to take home leftovers! They are friendly and helpful here. Not usually very busy because we have never had to wait. Very good BBQ, try it.

Finally made it back since the remodel and name change. Went in and ordered a family meal for 4 for take out. Pricing was $69 for brisket, sausage, rib tips (Which I’ve never heard of) pulled pork and Chicken, bread snd 2 sides. Mac n cheese and potato salad. I really had high hopes that this place was going to be super good, so went in right when they opened to get “Fresh cooked food”. So I thought. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The brisket was cut thick and chewy w/not much flavor. The sausage had good flavor, but to dry and tuff to chew. The Rib Tips were just not my thing. They looked like they were left overs meant for doggies. The pulled pork was dry and just didn’t have a good taste overall. The only thing I liked was the Chicken and Mac n cheese. The potato salad tasted more gourmet than traditional BBQ Potato salad. However, the Chicken was good, but is Chicken really BBQ?

We came in right before closing and everyone there was fantastic. We were the only customers in the restaurant and they treated us like gold. We had brisket, ribs, backed potato, and really loved the potato casserole. All the food was great.(even at closing time) and all the empoyees and i assume the owner were all fantastic. Even sent us home with some extra meat cause they were closing for there weekend !! If i had the slightest complaint (not really a complaint) it would be nice if they had that pickle/onion bar like gradys used to have. 2 thumbs up OH AND THERE PRICES WE FELT WERE COMPLETELY FAIR.

I went in thinking it’d be like the old bbq place at this location and dingy, but this bbq joint is truly a hidden gem. They really did a good job fixing up the interior and the food was delicious. I’d say better than Black’s and Rudy’s.

Baked potato casserole taste old and was cold. Said something and wasn’t offered a replacement or to even warm it up. Pinto beans are more like salty ranch beans. Ribs were decent and tasted smoked.

This place is AMAZING!! The brisket is so tender and flavorful, the baked potato casserole is delicious and the sauces are the best! This is definitely the place to go if you want the best BBQ in New Braunfels. 5 stars definitely deserved here!!!
