First time here…not a fan of their portion sizes of side items. I ordered 1/4 smoked chicken with two sides (garlic mashed potatoes and beans). The side items came in a small plastic sample cup. It was approximately 5 oz. or less ($2.19 each) of mashed potatoes and beans…very disappointing!! Others in my party ordered pulled pork sandwiches and side items…they too came in the same small plastic sample cup (5 oz. or less for $2.19 each). Everyone liked their food but NOT the very small portion of their side items. Spent $70 and left hungry! Please consider increasing portion sizes of your side items!! On a positive note…staff were very friendly.

I knew the old owners in Jerry and Donna, but the new owners are doing a wonderful job! They started breakfast buffets on the weekends. Saturdays and Sundays 8-1 and I will say hands down worth every penny, the food was outstanding and the service and professionalism is top notch. Please swing by and support them, you will not be dissapointed!

Food was super fast and burnt ends they give you it in the drippings kinda like gravy I just wanted to drink the cup when I was done but wife wanted it for her meal. Place is amazing will stop there every trip to lacrosse. And just missed the new buffet for Saturday and Sunday by 10 minutes. Next time I’m going through early enough to taste that.

I honestly have no idea why this place keeps getting voted best in La Crosse. Three times we have tried this and all three times the food was terrible. Small portions. High price. Bland food. Every time. The first time we thought maybe we caught them on a bad day. Second time we had a gift certificate and still paid double and ate bland food with tiny portions. Third time was the same. We won’t be back.

Everything I tried was decent. The brisket, even though it was chopped and I prefer sliced was actually really good and the ribs were also good. The burnt ends didn’t come sauced which I thought was weird and were not tender at all. I wouldn’t order those again. Potato salad was excellent as was the muffin. I wasn’t impressed with any of the sauces except the spicy and even that wasn’t that good. Prices are pretty high though for what you get, my total with a drink was $44. I’d eat here again if in the area though!

It was good not great but good. Looking for a better rub or more of it. Sauces where a great addition to this meat. I’d prefer smoked meat to stand alone without thinking if I should of added the sauce.

Can’t say enough good about this place! We went for breakfast. Food – outstanding! Everything was cooked perfectly. Best bacon ever. Service – top notch. Feels like you are eating at a friend’s house. Where they call you by name. Atmosphere – comfortable. Not loud, not bothersome. Friendly and just cozy. HIGHLY recommend!
