I enjoyed my dinner at Big County Cafe during a recent stay in Dumas. The service was attentive and friendly and my meal was good. The salad tasted fresh and the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes was very tasty. It is located in a cool older building with a great restaurant sign out front and old school vibe complete with wood paneled walls on the inside. The place seemed to be popular with locals and that is usually a good sign. I’d dine here again.

The shrimp was awesome. Nice and crispy as was the fried okra. The waitress, I didn’t get her name, was very attentive. A nice, clean restaurant will be going there more often.

I always check reviews when on the road. Had a large salad with crispy chicken. Loaded with real bacon (not jarred bits). Fresh tomatoes, egg and cheese. Great waitress. Fast service.

We just moved to the area and wanted a some good ole southern comfort food and the country cafe did not disappoint!! It was so good and at a great and affordable price! Huge portions! Had to take more than half home! We got the chicken friend steak and hamburger steak with jalapeño cheese “gravy”

Outstanding place. We stumbled upon this gem while making a drive from Denver to Abilene last year. Food was large and awesome. We are making this a regular stop for us on this trip. Highly recommend.

The Big Country Cafe is awesome! The servers are great and the food came out in about 5 minutes, no exaggeration, and it was phenomenal. That picture is all that was left of The Horshoe Sandwich, sorry. I heard their pie is something serious too, maybe next time.

Just passed through Dumas and stopped here for dinner. Clean building, extremely friendly staff, amazing decorations and the food was simply amazing. If I lived in Dumas, i would eat here every day. Will definitely be back. Spent 20 dollars between 2 people

This cafe had the best breakfast, lunch and dinner options at reasonable prices. We ordered a breakfast plate and the country fried steak dinner plate. Everything was absolutely delicious – I highly recommend you eat here!

The food is delicious. Previous visits were fantastic. But the last time was iffy. Didn’t get silverware and waiter kept forgetting to check on us as we needed A1 sauce and forgot my biscuts and gravy. Eventually, my brother went to an empty table that had just left and took theirs.
