Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! Definitely worth our 45 minute trip here! Fried chicken is delicious, tender & moist! Collard greens are a definite treat! Corn bread is a special recipe and I would for sure be tipping the scales if I lived any closer! Gotta try this restaurant! Owner and staff are lovely!

They fell off they used to be my favorite spot back then now the food don’t be tasting right at all. Literally I’m so upset how they changed everything. I work right around the corner and I’ve been wanting to order for about two years now, I finally did and I regret not doing it sooner. Ordered the Ox Tails over Yellow Rice, the Collard Greens, and Mac & Cheese. Everything was so dang good! The only thing I’ll say is I wish the Ox Tails had a little more spice to them. I put a lil hot sauce on myself and it was perfect. The front of house could use a little livening up, but over all I will be back next week. A+, keep it up Big E!!!

I had whitings platter and side of rice and zucchini and potato salad. 4 wings. $28. I feel the prices are high. The only thing I thought was pretty good was potato salad. Everything smelled good through out the restaurant. One thing I did not like to dark inside and my fish was placed on my veggies.

Food was so delish! Each person in our party tried different dishes and we were very pleased. Steak was tender. Salmon was moist and seasoned well. Shrimp was great. They offer so many soulfood options. For those who are conscientious about pork, they DO NOT season their veggies with pork. There is food for everyone. You won’t regret it!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Trenton you’ll find this gem of a place. Relaxed atmosphere, artwork on the walls showing talent for more than southern cooking. The default is that you’ll step up to the buffet where you can be served anything from chicken or fish, ribs, oxtail, lobster mac cheese, green beans and on, with a piece of cornbread to top it off. Burger and fish choices off the menu come up in a jiffy. The prices were reasonable and the staff friendly. You will want to come back more than once.
