Great husband and wife cafe. The service was great, the food was amazing. Eggs on biscuits and gravy? IT WORKS! I sampled the ox tail and I almost cried it was so good. Phenomenal Soul Food. Excellent variety, everything made fresh. We tried 4 different mains, the Ox Tail was hands down the best. Loved the sides especially the cabbage. Hush puppies fried to perfect like the pork chops. This is a don’t miss stop if you are staying in or passing through.

Saturday had meatloaf was out of this world could not pinpoint the spice was delicious. My friend ordered the pork was also great. Had been there last time when in town met the owners and great conversation. We walked in asked where are the owners? young lady said we are the owners and we sat. Said to my friend can leave if you want with new owners maybe not the same. After dinner the chef said he’s the son of the owners we met last time and his wife was working the front. glad we stayed if you have never been there’s nothing fancy in a strip plaza but the food will make you come back

My husband and I went in to eat during the Sugar Festival. He ordered a double cheeseburger and I ordered fried chicken sandwich and we shared fries. This was the BEST food we’ve had at a restaurant in a very very long time. The taste of everything was phenomenal, the waitress and cook were super friendly and checked on us and to see how the food was. The sweet iced tea was also very delicious and hit the spot. I wish we didn’t live 45 miles away because I dream of the chicken sandwich now! We will definitely be back when we drive through or just want a little getaway and someplace different to go. Thank you!!

Stopped in for breakfast as we were passing by on our road trip. Everything was perfect. From the lovely woman who took our order, to the chef that nailed our cooked to order breakfast.. just perfect. The kind of place you love finding on your travels. The oxtail was melt in your mouth delicious. The collard greens were the best I ever had. The Mac-n-cheese was Mmm cheesy goodness. Washed it all down with the best sweet tea ever. Highly recommend this place.

Happened onto this restaurant traveling from Miami and what an enjoyable experience from start to finish. Soul food to seafood available in this small but great prepared food establishment. Service was also very good if i was a local they would definitely have my regular business and will have next time I’m traveling there. Fried chicken didn’t disappoint nor did everything else. Five Stars!

Big Eaters Cafe was recommended to us as the best place for soul food around. They weren’t kidding. We weren’t sure what we wanted to eat and Joan kept bringing us samples so we could decide. I had the curry chicken with mac & cheese and lima beans and my husband had the turkey wings with collards and green beans. They tasted like they came out of his mommas kitchen! Do yourself a favor and eat there whenever you can. The owners are awesome and the food is truly Food for your Soul!
