We were there on a Thursday – maybe a slow night? – and it was perfection. Waitress suggested we split a small (12-ounce!) filet and a shrimp skewer. That was plenty of food for the two of us, and both were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious! We’ll be back.

Phenomenal! My husband hasn’t ever had prime rib and he was in heaven. They have great horse radish too…don’t know if it’s made in house but it’s delicious. Great family atmosphere and staff is super friendly.

The service and food is exceptional at Big Ed’s!! We had 10 people in our party and we were served quickly and everything was accurate! The portions are large and reasonably priced. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and tender. The butterflied shrimp were huge and delicious. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. We also ordered 2 appetizer samplers that were excellent! We will definitely return to Big Ed’s anytime we are in the area!

Was out of town for business, was told about Big Ed’s. Was not disappointed, service was great, food was awesome, the steak was second to none, easily the best steak of my life.

Fun local bar that serves the best steaks around! People from all over the country come to Big Ed’s! Come early or plan on waiting for a table on weekends. Enjoy!

The food in general was ok. The steak was nicely flavored and cooked perfectly. We were not pleased with the way the hot food was left sitting on the counter, getting cold. The baked potatoes, green beans and rolls were sitting out waiting for the main part of the dinners we ordered, getting cold. Food handling was not highly sanitary. The appetizer baskets, the steak, chicken fried, generally everything was not hot and our server seemed inconvenienced by actually having to bring us our food. The salad was limp and soggy. The cupcakes aren’t worth $5 a pop either. There were 4 of us and our check with an outrageous $130 including tip. I don’t mind patronizing a local business, however if they’re going to gouge you, then they’d better deliver.

I have been here a number of times through the years… it saddens me to visit and see it go down hill.. I had the 20oz and it was cooked super done.. burgers were tough and chicken strips were not good either.. I have hopes to revisit sometime and see a change..

I recently ran across an article ranking the best 50 steakhouses in the US. I was sure when I got to #1 it would be Big Eds! The food critic simply is missing out having never had a filet cooked by Cathy. The steaks at Big Eds are as good as the finest steakhouses I’ve dined at, Gibsons in Chicago, Harris Ranch in Colinga (CA), and J. Gilberts in Kansas City. The atmosphere is not fancy like the above places, but the service is wonderful and the food will impress!
