I go there on Sundays since that’s the only day they serve German schnitzel and it was delicious. Been there several times. But the last time before today was 3 1/2 years ago. Atmosphere is still great, staff is terrific and food is excellent.

Not impressed with the food on our visit, I’m hopeful this was just an off day but there were very few people for a Saturday night and maybe that should have been an indicator. The jalapeno sausage was dried out and overcooked, the brisket was tough, and the ribs were dry and seemed like they were at least a day old.

First time visiting Big Hoss BBQ and it was delicious! We had a little bit of a wait but that can be expected on Mother’s Day. The portions for some things may need to be a little bigger considering what you pay but otherwise very good. On our way out, we stopped to see the goats and feed them a little. Bunch of young kids running around. Will back again, soon.

True Texas BBQ. I had Pork Ribs and Sausage. The meat wasn’t hot for some reason. It was just kinda warm. In fact, none of the food was hot. But everything tasted good. The only thing I didn’t exactly care for was the BBQ Sauce and the Fried Green Tomatoes. But both were passable, though. It’s a pretty nice place to dine at. Definitely recommend trying it.

My online order did not prompt me to choose sides but prompted me to choose sauce…they did fix it by asking when picked upped. Meat was great, add an extra sauce if ordering online as it has very little on it. (Probably dryer as it’s an online order…). The jalapeño saddles were not spicy at all. I was a bit disappointed in this as I’ve had them before spicy and they are great.

That was the most disgusting BBQ we’ve ever had! Drove in from Austin for a Birthday dinner. The brisket and Ribs weren’t even fresh cooked! The meat was dried up from being reheated! The beans were out of a can and the potato salad was not homemade! Don’t waste your money!

The customer service is excellent. The food is not good anymore. No flavor at all in the meats. Also, taste like it is cooked in the oven. Proportion use to be better too. Use to love this place. Very disappointed!!!

I’d really love to give this place a rating based upon their food and service but alas, they’ve failed me long before I ever got in he door. It’s simple! PEOPLE EAT EVERYDAY and they eat more than once a day. IF YOU WANT TO BE IN BUSINESS BUT ONLY OPEN WHEN IT SUITS YOU, YOU DON’T NEED TO BE IN THE FOOD BUSINESS. When I saw that you were CLOSED UNTIL FRIDAY, I knew all I needed to know about your attitude toward customers. Customers are something you are forced to tolerate but don’t really see where they have any value for you. Customers are a huge part of your problem – causing you to turn your labor of love into a yoke of labor. My best advice is for you to get into business passing collection plates around at church services – that way you could work all you want on Sundays and take the rest of the week off without anyone being a problem for you.
