Stopped at the place advertised on the 2nd billboard I saw. That’s just me , and I’m happy about it. Got both the pulled pork sandwich and ribs, with potato salad and the complimentary Pinto Beans. Choice of 4 sauces and a little dress up bar with Jalapeños, onions and cucumbers. I chose the tangy sauce over the regular. The regular reminded me of a flavor from Memphis and the tangy was unique. And it sticks with you a bit. Enjoy.

Stopped here for dinner, my eleventh ‘cue stop in Arkansas and 370th in a 35 state odyssey. I went with a loaded baked potato (pork), and two fried pies (apricot, cherry) for $18.17. The potato was gigantic, and very well prepared. The pork had a good mix of bark and meat, and was a good sized serving, but with minimal smoke. It required a house sauce to bring it to life. The pies were good-sized, but thin. More fruit filling would not be out of order.

Awesome service. Phenomenal customer service. Great food. We love Big Jakes bbq. They always have a smile on their faces and they are always so willing to help you. The free pinto beans are absolutely amazing. The tangy bbq sauce is amazing. If you are looking for great bbq and want a great experience this is the perfect place to go.

They have the best pork ribs in town. I always order a pound. 2 day leftovers. Great fried okra, Mac and cheese, pinto beans. And the best, juicy pies. They honor the military, patches framed on their wall.

Menu says 1 meat with baked potato and 1 side. When they rang it up, it sounded high. I got back to my table and realized they charged me two dollars extra for the sliced beef. The menu does not say only chicken, and they don’t tell you it’s two dollars extra. So watch you ticket at big Jake’s. So 11.99 for a potato and sliced beef rather than the 9.99 that’s on the menu.

As this was a pick-up order, I gave atmosphere a 5 because it smelled great outside. Food was amazing for drive thru BBQ. Would recommend if you are in Texarkana area !
