My co worker recommended that I eat here. First impression was not good. The restaurant was not clean. The tables were not clean. There were spoils around the drink machine. The staff was friendly. I ordered mushrooms, cheese, onions steak sandwich and waffle fries. The steak sandwich was okay. The waffle fries were cold.

We dined in on a random Monday afternoon with a toddler. The pictured classic Mushroom sandwich was THE best we’ve ever gotten from a big John. This location surpasses the other lansing location in customer service and exceptional products. The toddler LOVED the mac and cheese.

The food is always messy but in a good way because they don’t skimp on the meat. They really feel like a cut above other places in their price range. Good seasoned waffle fries. They have Reuben sandwiches with real corned beef.

Ordered at the drive-thru at around 8:00pm, as I pulled up they informed me that they had shut everything down except the grill. So I was unable to enjoy the red sauce with fries. Staff was alright when it came to service. My experience wasn’t the best, but there is room for improvement.
