The beef ribs was ohhh my goodness…delicious and tender with the perfect smoke taste. Well worth it. Friendly owner and had good vibe music playing while you wait for your order. I have a pet peeve about my potato salad, I don’t like my potatoes hard, so it was a no go for the potato salad. The collard greens was yummy to with smoke flavor to it. Overall tasty. So I just made an order from Grubhub. First half of my order was missing. The part of my order that I did was receive was the Beef rib platter, smoked wings, and peach cobbler. The rib was on the dry side, the Mac and cheese was mostly noodles and very dry. The potatoes in the potato salad were over cooked. The taste was bland and it was warm. The wings were pretty good and the peach cobbler was very tasty. I doubt I will finish the rib platter. I am very disappointed by the food. I was looking forward to trying this food bc of all the great reviews it had online. This will probably be the last time I make an order from here especially seeing as though the food is very pricey.

Stopped by on a whim. Ordered a pork BBQ sandwich with the sweet and spicy Alabama sauce. These guys are the real deal and super friendly. Food tastes great and filled me up. Sauce was great. Will definitely hit this place up again!

I was elated to find a bbq/soul food place in Bear. But I was beyond elated when I tasted Uncle John’s amazing food!!! I mean everything was on point! My family and I wanted to taste a little of everything so we purchased about 3 different platters with different sides… didn’t get to taste the collard greens this time around (but gives us more of a reason to go back)!!! Uncle John is so personable, and really feels like family just from our first interaction. That’s how amazing his personality is and please know the food he is cooking matches!!! I can’t wait to go back to get more amazing food and have a laugh or two with Uncle John. Just so happy I stumbled upon Big John’s BBQ! Don’t think twice just go so your taste buds can be in heaven! I went to BIG John’s on Saturday 6/18/22 and got the wings. It was my first time so I decided to start off small. When I say, I got home and ate about 5wings, I was smilin. They tasted great and the mild BBQ sauce was phenomenal. First time again with mustardbased sauce. I will be going back to try beef ribs and brisket. Check it out
