We had the beef meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and baked chicken, mashed potatoes, cabbage. Everything was good and hot and both came with cornbread. With two drinks the meal was $28.24. I would prefer a plate at that price point, but styrofoam is what you get.

This place is an absolute must stop to eat at! BEST Brisket I’ve ever had in my entire 46 years of living! Can’t wait to try the ribs next time. Cabbage and Brisket cooked to perfection! Great service as well. Customer for life whenever I pass through. TRUCK DRIVERS, park across the street at the Flying J. Easy, safe, and short walk across the street. Well worth it! OMG!!!! i had the beef tips w/ gravy over yellow rice, collards, cornbread & wow so good real home cooking. The cornbread though was very moist with pieces of corn in it MELTED IN MY MOUTH. very delicious

I was skeptical getting dinner here, but…. If you haven’t tried Big J’s then you are missing out. I ordered the BBQ chicken, green beans, rice and cornbread. This was just like my grandmother and mother use to cook ! The beans were perfect, rice was really good but the chicken FELL OFF THE BONE like it should. Oh and the corn bread was better than mine. Everything was spot on and I will see you again.

Update 2/10/23: Still serving up some awesome food! I got a brisket hamburger that was HUGE and delicious, my son got a burger and mac n cheese, which he loved. We finished it off with some sweet potato pie, which my kid ate more than half of, haha. Get some food here people, you won’t regret it!
