To start: I’m a huge seafood brat. Straight up. I dislike most of the seafood I’ve had in my state (MD), but this place is a gem! Came here with a friend for guy time and got the bucket…solid seafood. Sweet potato fries were a little on the greasy side though. Waitress was attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend

I can’t say enough about how delicious the food is here! Always perfect and delicious with generous portions. This is a special review about the staff and how they make you feel like family every time you walk through the door. You can count on being greeted with a smile and called by your name. They definitely take pride in every aspect of the business including making you feel important and special. Hands down best restaurant in Hanover ❤️

First time visiting Big Mikes Crab House and Grill with my wife and kids and I have to say even before the rest of the review I was already kind of partial to their cool name. When we first arrived inside the restaurant we were asked by the waitress if we would like to sit inside or out and we chose to sit outside since it was a nice day. Once at our table our waitress took our drink order and it was quick to come. Also I must mention that our drinks were cold and full of ice which you wouldn’t think would be a big deal but when you are used to going to restaurants where they treat ice like it is some kind of precious commodity its nice for a change. It was also nice that there were other choices on the menu especially since my son is not fond of most kind of seafoods. We ordered the loaded hush puppies for our appetizer and they were covered in crab meat and awesome. The crab cakes, scallops and steamed shrimp that my wife, daughter and I had were great and cooked just right. My son and I had the “broasted” chicken as well which was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and tasted superb. The waitress was great, she was polite and quick. I only wish I could remember her name because whenever I have good service I like to include the wait staff’s name in the review to give credit where it is due. Last but not least I visited the inside of the restaurant before leaving just to give some props to the guys cooking the food also which was well received by them both. Thanks Big Mike’s it’s hard to find good seafood when your not near the shore but you satisfied the craving. We will be back.

We did not get crabs. Perhaps the crabs are the reason people come here. Because they definitely don’t come here for the other menu items or slow service. Specifically the dried chicken on salad, cornstarch cream of crab soup, hard waffle fries, stale burger bun. Some of the sodas served were carbonated water without sweetness. They did replace those for us. I wanted badly to enjoy this experience especially since I was treating my family members to lunch. Never again and I’m here posting to save you the disappointment. I rarely take time to make reviews. Big Mike’s needs major improvements.

I spent $165 this evening at Big Mikes. I was extremely disappointed at what my money bought me. I got (2) crab pretzels, the snow crab legs you see in the picture, a 3 piece white chicken platter, and a steamer bucket (crabs, clams, mussels, shrimp). While I knew what I was buying (according to the menu), I just have to say…if you are going to provide such skimpy portion size entrees, you should at least do better on the size of your sides. The steamer bucket was cooked nicely, but I had 3 closed mussels and 4 closed clams. It was a nice variety, but not enough to satisfy a grown man’s hunger. The crab pretzels were ok (salty), and so was the chicken. Overall, the food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. I wish for that kind of money, it would seem a little more worth spending.

Staff were very friendly and fast after they realized we were seated by the hostess all the way back. Didn’t eat crabs but if look and smell are anything, they must be good. Stuffed shrimp were delectable, and fried asparagus are too die for. Crab cakes, crab soup and crab dip had very good flavor except we couldn’t find actual crab in them. Worth a visit.

Came from Delaware to meet family there. This was surprisingly good. The loaded hush puppies were off the Hook. The Crabclaw burger was awesome. The service was outstanding and she paid attention to detail. If I’m in that area again I will be back. It was that darn good. Ps the prices are reasonable.
