Great, small town family run business! I’ve never had anything there that I wasn’t completely satisfied with. Tonight I stopped by Big P’s Ultimate BBQ Shack to grab something for dinner and he told me has a new Patty Melt. Of course I had to give it a try and as usual it was amazing! As with everything else he makes there’s plenty left for lunch tomorrow! Even if you don’t live in Sour Lake I promise you it’s worth the drive and you will definitely find something there you like!

First time going today & it won’t be our last. The smoked chicken eggrolls (think Chili’s southwest eggrolls but way better) were so big that we were nearly full & didn’t finish the bulk of the meal. Yeah for leftovers. Brisket & ribs were moist, potato salad is mustard based & wet (a good thing cause you’re crazy if you want a dry potato salad or cole slaw for that matter…. I’ll die on that hill) & smoked beans delicious. And the best thing yet is that they’re reasonably priced. A win win. We didn’t order the smoked chicken to try by itself but my mom said hers was delicious as well. Worth the little drive out to Sour Lake for sure.

We ordered to go. My husband got the 2 plate meat with brisket and sausage. The plates came with 2 sides. He got mac and cheese and beans. I got the 2 plate dinner with brisket, ham, beans and potato salad. We also ordered a half rack of ribs to try. This was more than enough food. We can still make 1-2 meals with the leftovers. The owner answered the phone and was super nice and helpful in assisting with my order. (This was our first time to try it out.) We go to bbq places all over the United States. I give this place 5 stars based on the ribs. The ribs were up there with some of the places we have been to. They had great flavor. I highly recommend getting the ribs. If you are a potato salad person, try their potato salad. It was pretty good as well.

Lemme tell your a little story about a family that not only makes great food but are just really great people! Not only does the did taste amazing, but they have the whole family there. The kids help out and are so polite. But outside of that… Best BBQ we have had on a very very long time. Go if you are in the area, or go even if you are not.
