The food was great. I’ve got hot dogs and fries with cheese in a cup and also I tried the meatball sandwich which was good. I must admit that the sweet peppers roasted WERE AMAZING. I really liked the garbage cans. Very original. Never seen something like this anywhere. Why only 4 stars out of 5: I didn’t like that the blackboard on the wall with all the menu had the prices covered on black, kind of shady. Also as always I mentioned, I really appreciate fresh cut fries instead of frozen.

Tried Big Sammy’s because of a coworkers suggestion. I ordered the BLT and was not disappointed. They asked how I wanted my bacon done, crispy for me. I didn’t try a shake, but I thought the machine was pretty cool. I was happy to see they had Diet Dr Pepper.

Great fast place near the highway off randall and i90 thats easy to get to besides ur typical mcdonalds, burger king and wendys. Good variety of choices from salads, appetizers, gyros, hamburgers, hot dogs, shakes and etc. Clean place. Plenty of seating areas and quick to order. Love their fried mushrooms.

I had a bad experience, a young Hispanic man works there who takes the orders, he doesn’t say hello, he doesn’t ask how he can help us, he just told us right away (they can’t eat here because we’re going to close, only orders to go and There were 15 minutes left before the time that the place is supposed to close) there is no paper where it specifies that after a certain time you can no longer eat inside the establishment, another thing that I did not like is that they sell chicken wings and they do not they give you dressing or they don’t offer you celery or carrots (which are supposed to go with the wings, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich, the guy put the chicken breast in the fryer where they cook the French fries that really freaked me out This person’s purpose was to put oil on the chicken and he did it incorrectly and then he put it on the grill and that’s called cross contamination! I WANT TO LET THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING THERE IT IS NOT GOOD AT ALL, I am certified in costumer service and I have my certificate to work with hot and cold food and what I saw there yesterday left me with no desire to return to that establishment, I hope the owner takes more care with the people who work there and I sent them to training so they can give good service to everyone!

I’ve been to hundreds of hot dog joints around the city and suburbs and have never came across a hot dog joint like this one. They do an outstanding job serving well put together meals. The burger was juicy and delicious. The fries were crispy to perfection and not soaked in grease or over salted.

Big Sam looked just like the photo on the cups they serve. Since I have even in Chicagoland for long I’m not sure how it stacks up to a traditional idea of a Chicago dog, but I was a little underwhelmed. I played it safe getting a #1 on the menue which is like 2 Hotdogs, fries, and a drink. You can have any topping put on the hot dog you want. The Hotdogs I got were like your typical backyard cookout. Fries were good and crispy hit drink cup was a little small compared to a big fast food chain but with how bad sugar is for our bodies I guess it isn’t all bad. It looked very clean inside and the menue is bigger than just hot dogs, it is worth exploring again sometime.

We have been at this location a few times and we have not been disappointed. Sammy is always very friendly and the food is delicious. I always appreciate a place that can make a great veggie burger. I also love the fries. So many great menu options too.
