Nice clean place, friendly folks nice decor. BBQ pork was good but didn’t have any smokie flavor you would expect from a BBQ place. For me that was fine because too much smoke flavor upsets my stomach. But it needed a little in my opinion. The potato salad was excellent best I ever had.

After sampling the brisket, pulled pork, corn bread, cole slaw and all three sauces, I am certain this is the best barbeque restaurant in Rincon, Savannah and surrounding areas. The sauces are Texas vinegar, sweet & smoky and sweet heat. Heavy usage of black pepper is what sets these apart from the rest. Be sure to call ahead to ensure they still have sufficient food as they have quite a following and there is only so much of this quality, small batch smoked meat that can be made each day!

Pulled pork and smoked sausage sandwiches are very tasty and good size. Disappointed with brisket…dry, and chopped – not available sliced (??). Baked beans are quite good. Nice atmosphere. Only downside is that it’s somewhat expensive…

I’ve visited many bbq joints in Georgia – Big South BBQ is my absolute favorite! The smoked flavor and their rub is a great combination. Their sides…. oh! The potato salad is my favorite too!!

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered pulled pork sandwich, slaw and sweet tea. Let me tell you, I loved it! Everything tastes fresh and is made fresh daily. The sauces are all good. I especially liked the hot sauce. The slaw is to die for. Yummy! Time to go again with hubby.

Big South is another of those little places with awesome food. I have had their pulled pork and brisket and loved both. Their spices are just right for whatever your tastes and the sides are full of flavor. You also have to try their desserts, my favorite is the banana pudding. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, definitely a must try in town.

Decor and staff are top notch. The pulled pork and pulled chicken are perfect and the potato salad is the best potato salad I have ever had, great portions on protein. Also the BBQ sauces are great compliments to the food. With that being said, I was extremely dissapointed in the Mac n cheese especially for being a premium side, ours looked nothing like the pics previous customers have posted. It was undercooked, flavorless and there was no cheese besides on maybe 4 pieces. The one slice of bread you get with the meals is sad. the awesome cornbread muffins should be what u get free with the meals, seeing how this place is kind of pricey. To serve one slice of bread with that is just ridiculous. One more thing the portion of potato salad we got was very small and we were later informed they had run out, they should have offered another half side for free.
