I was very impressed with how much food you get for your $! Most places in this area can’t even compare! Family ran! Friendly people! Would recommend any day! Keep up the great work as we will keep coming back!

We had been there before it wasn’t the worst and not the best either. We decided to try again. The food was burnt and hard no flavor we orded a bacon cheeseburger the bacon was so burnt you could not eat it the burger was also burnt had a hard time eating what I did eat. Will not give it a third try.

We really enjoyed our experience at the Big Timber! We’d visited previously, when it was under a different owner and different name and swore we’d never go back. However, with new ownership we’d been hearing things were much improved so we decided to try again. What a pleasant surprise! The new owners are so friendly and welcoming! The food is good, and comparable to what you get at most places around here, but with slightly better prices. (Kids meals are only $3.95-4.95!) The inside has been cleaned up and is much brighter than before, and there’s even a small convenience store with reasonable prices! What a great improvement; we’ll definitely be back!

Best burgers around! Family friendly and rustic atmosphere couldn’t be better matched for Harvard Idaho. Local watering hole and gossip shop, Californians stay away! This is maga county!

Hanged ownership. It’s now called The Big Timber Cafe. New owners are really nice. Good “cafe” style food.

This is a great Home Town Cafe. Not only is the food really good but the people that own it & run it make you feel like you’ve been life long friends. Definitely worth the trip. Thank you for the wonderful meal & the chance of getting to know some really friendly people in Idaho. Bruce and Patricia Jones from Lodi California.

Do not be misled! Signs says all are welcome when in fact they are not. Against our better judgment, we stopped. Based on other reviewers, I’m assuming we dealt with the owner. The older lady should not have anything to do with the service industry at all. She refused to acknowledge our presence despite our warm greetings simply because we wore masks (should have left right then and there). After she is done mask shaming us, she moves onto mother shaming and the cherry on top was openly and loudly talking about past patrons and cars they have and how she is entitled to “a nice car (like the Californians) because she works just as hard and is BS she doesn’t make more money.” Incredibly awkward. Food was decent enough, but honestly she should be ashamed of herself by the way she treats absolute strangers who just wanted to support their business. Check other area establishments before stopping at the Hoodoo Cafe if you value human decency because you will not find it here.

Small out of the way restaurant with unique atmosphere. Great place to stop while on a road trip or after hiking/huckleberrying in the nearby mountains. I had the taco salad and it was exceptional. Not a lot of variety on the menu, but what they have is good. Everyone I came with was satisfied.

We ordered hamburgers and 1 was 5.95 and the other was 6.95 and when we got the check we were charged that plus several other charges and fries or tater tots came with it. Really rips you off and the meat tasted awful with black things in it and not even sure it was hamburger. We got it to go so we let it go but won’t get anything from there again!!!
