I must’ve passed Big Tomy’s thousands of times over the years. They recently renovated the front with a new sign and the place appeared much cleaner as well. I wanted to try a new place for lunch and gave a Big Tomy’s a try. I ordered the same two things I would order if I were going to Tommy’s the Shack. A chili cheeseburger and a chili dog. I was really disappointed. The hotdog was mushy. The chili had no flavor, lacking spice and seasoning. The burger lacked flavor. I’m not saying the food was awful but bland and it gives me no reason to go back. The place is clean. Staff is very nice. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. That’s it, that’s all I can say.

Pastrami breakfast burritos with extra crispy hashbrowns! I’ve been coming here for years and it is by far the best breakfast burrito in town. CASH ONLY! The inside is nothing to see, which usually means the food is good. There are also no restrooms but I always take my food to go so no bother here. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered a pastrami sandwich which was dry and salty and asked for chili on my fries (I got the combo). The chili tastes like chili powder goo. There is NO MEAT at all and it literally look like refried beans. Probably won’t order the chili or pastrami again but will try their burgers next. Don’t wanna toss the place out before trying another meal.

I have been on a health regimen for a couple of months now and I have been working out hard and my weight has been going down. I am able to have an epic cheat meal occasionally. The ultimate cheat to me is Pastrami, Chili Cheese Fries. I ordered them with crispy fries and added grilled onions. The fries were perfect, the chili was very tasty and lots of pastrami. I didn’t see any onions and the cheese probably shouldn’t have had mozzarella in it. Overall a very enjoyable cheat. It makes me wonder how good it could have been with the onions and less mozzarella. Good solid fresh food at really reasonable prices.

I stopped by this Big Tomys in Culver City since the WLA BT is undergoing fire repairs from 4/6/18 fire. I don’t believe they are affiliated with one another these small chains but from the same suppliers. Food is good and staff is friendly. Parking lot on side and rear of building. Also metered street parking. I had a burger combo and it was good I’ve gotten tired of the institutional tasting food from the big chains.(except Wendy’s) A simple place to grab something to eat. A very friendly staff.
